Lips curling into a little sweet smile
Darling, for you I'd run a thousand miles
Sadness become a pain of the past
For once in my life, something will last
From what I know poetry is sad
Or else it is cheesy, cliché or bad
But with your name written, letters so bold
The beauty shows through, for all to behold
Thinking of you brings light to my eyes
A kind of happiness I can't disguise
The previous cuts that had seemed so deep
Seemed to have healed, at night I can sleep
Memories of him had once filled my mind
With your hand in mine, I can leave that behind.
