On sunday it began,

From I, time had escaped.

Our meeting time was oh so soon,

No courage I had scraped.

On monday I was nervous

Counting down the days

Time seemed too slow, yet much too fast,

Like I was in some haze.

On tuesday I forgot,

Until I saw your name

And then I was reminded

Of our upcoming game

On wednesday I felt happy

As If I'd been set free

And all the nerves and worries

Had run right out of me

On thursday I was shocked.

And like a peaceful bomb,

Suddenly the thought of you,

Only made me calm.

On friday I sat down,

And stared at my reflection.

You had some weird effect on me,

Like you were some infection.

And then, there we were,

Eye-to-eye at last.

Time had moved so quickly,

Seconds passed so fast.

Something here has changed,

Though I'm not quite sure what of,

But one thing is for sure:

You're not the boy I'd loved.
