Hi reader! Thanks for checking out this story. Before we get into it, I think it's important to note that I wrote a majority of this fic when I was 13 years old. I've always been someone super passionate about representation of all different kinds of people in the stories we tell. I had recently learned about borderline personality disorder because someone I knew had just been diagnosed, and I realized very quickly that there was basically no positive representation out there.
This fic was my attempt to bring awareness to bpd, to humanize it, and not to romanticize it. Although I had good intentions, reading back this story now I realize my execution of these objectives left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for a more accurate (and, most agree, very respectful and responsibly handled) portrayal of bpd, I'd suggest checking out the show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend!
