Chapter 4

Omniscient

"Really Faith that's how you gon do me" Lazarus asked as Monica's eight year old beat him up jumping on his back and hitting his head

"Don't hit my mommy no more" Faith said hitting him after every word

He and Monica were playing dodge ball and he'd hit her square between the eyes.

Her being the loser she was she called her daughter to come beat him up while she held ice on her head

"Alright baby I think he learned his lesson" Monica laughed pulling faith off by her waist

"Damn she hit hard" Lazarus laughed standing up

"What you got planned for today" Monica asked seeing Lazarus was following her to the kitchen

"Not a thang, I got vacation days saved up though and I was thinking about going to surprise Harlow and spend time with her and the kids." Lazarus shrugged

He missed having them around to come home to but he was also glad they were enjoying time with their mother so instead of taking them away he thought he'd just visit.

"Aww that's sweet" Monica blushed

"I love you and your baby momma relationship" Monica smiled as Lazarus hugged her from behind

"It don't take nothing but a lil understanding, she made a mistake and I let her know I couldn't handle the mistake and she understood. No need to fuss and argue about it" Lazarus explained

"I wish my parents were like that. I'm 34 years old and my parents still don't like that they have to share me" Monica laughed thinking of her parents bickering.

"Harlow is a social worker so she'll never have her kids an in environment where there's nothing but hatred being spread" Lazarus shared

"I can admit me and Joshua have argued in front of Faith quite a few times even to the point where it got physical" Monica said feeling her mood darken

"We didn't think of the effects it'd have on her in the future even the fact the she despises people who weren't of her color, it was to the point where a teacher would call saying she refused to be sat by someone or she refused even communicate with them" Lazarus wipes away Monica's tears

"And to even think that I was the cause of that as a mother I felt like I wasn't fulfilling my role in her life" Monica cried into Lazarus chest

"It's just you and Harlow make it seem simple I saw how you were able to have fun with her and your kids and how you guys still have a great bond, but I can't even deal with Joshua without wanting to knock his teeth out" Monica grabbed a paper towel fixing up her shirt that had wrinkled

"Y'all just have to sit down and talk, lay everything on the table, y'all set some rules and regulations for one another" Lazarus shrugged explaining some of the things he and Harlow did

"At this point I just want full custody, he doesn't even come get her on weekends like he's suppose to, this is your first time meeting her and you've done for her more than he have in these eight years" Monica rolled her eyes disgust thinking of her baby daddy.

"Let's not think about that right now, let's just enjoy our time together" Lazarus leaned in giving Monica a kiss on her lips to calms her nerves

"This my first time meeting baby girl and I don't want it ruined so let's go do something fun" Lazarus grabbed her hand pulling her out the kitchen

"You're right, and she's been begging to get in your trampoline since we moved over here" Monica laughed knowing that's be the first thing she'd want to do when invited over.
