3 days til birthday
1st person- Harlow

"So was she mad" Blake asked as we talked on FaceTime

"Hell Yea, she slapped me three times" I told her thinking of yesterday

"Well it least you got it over with" Blake shrugged

"You right" I agreed

"Am I still allowed at the birthday party?" Blake asked

"I mean she didn't mention you much, but let me check just in case" I stood from the bed

"Oop you bold, you just got slapped and you bout to walk up in her room" Blake laughed

"Shut up" I said turning the volume down

Knocking on my parents bedroom door I waited for a response before I stepped in.

"Morning mama" I greeted

"What you need" she asked not tuning to look at me

"Is Blake still allowed to come to lyrics party" I asked finally getting her attention

"Harlow I don't care, if you want your kids to grow up thinking it's ok to lie and keep secrets then go right ahead and do what you want" she taking a seat on her bed

"Mama I said sorry, I told you I was just afraid" I tried explaining like yesterday

"Afraid of what Harlow, I'm accepting of everything you do as long as it makes you happy" she raised her voice

"I thought you wouldn't be and I was gonna tell you but I got sick and I saw how worried you were so I didn't want to keep piling things on you, I would've told you in the beginning but I never thought me and Blake would make it that far because this was all new to me" I finally got a chance to explain

"I just don't like the fact that you constantly lie to me Harlow, every time something goes wrong or you're scared you lie" she responded her face twisted up as she shook her head

"I've never lied about anything else" I shook my head

"There you go lying again" she stood causing me to back away

"How was lyric conceived" she stopped in front of me

"I cheated on Lazarus, I told you that ma" I answered

That's the same thing I'd been telling her all these years when she asked

"You didn't cheat Harlow" she yelled

"That boy raped you and you never said anything about it, you have a father who's a big time attorney and you let them get away with it" she stepped up pushing me back

"He was 13" I tried to fight back the tears that was threatening to spill out

"It doesn't matter, that's why you were so against us trying to find him and tell him he has a child because he's a child himself" she yelled

"I would've went to jail for rape, and you would've been doing the same thing your doing now blaming it all on me" I yelled back unable to hold it in

"Harlow lyric won't ever know her father because you didn't speak up when you had the chance, we know nothing about the dude or if he's even still alive" her voice had now lowered

"Harlow you have your therapy license and you're a social worker you know what happens when people hold these types of things in, stop lying about things and just tell me even when it may hurt me or I may get angry. It's not fair that you have to go through this alone. I could care less who or what you like, my focus is that you're happy and healthy everything else doesn't matter" she stepped up releasing her own tears
