Today was the day.
Lyres and lyric were both still sleeping so I was helping Lenzi get ready so I could go change the information on her emergency contact list and registration form.
"Lenzi your lunch is on the island make sure you take a sweater and your umbrella" I yelled down the hall to her room as I slipped on a shirt over my sports bra.
"I'm ready" she appeared at my room door a few minutes later
"Alright let's go" I grabbed my keys and wallet
Switching her information over only took about 15 minutes so she went to class then I headed back home to get lyres and lyric up.
After running from school to school I was pulling up at my job site.
I did a quick check making sure my face was clean and my clothes were straight.
Reaching over to the passenger side for my bag I grabbed a hold of it before opening the door and stepping out.
Being that it was December it was pretty cool out but the strong winds blowing only made it worse causing me to shiver as I fidgeted with the key fob to lock the door.
Hearing the beep confirmed my car was locked so I tucked my hands in my pocket and hurried into the building.
"Good-morning everyone" I spoke stepping through the sliding doors of my work space
"Morning"
"Sup"
"Good morning"
I heard some of my co-workers reply.
Continuing to my office I unlocked my door sitting my things on my desk
"Good morning" Sasha came to the door holding her work iPad
"Morning" I gave her a smile pulling my gloves off.
"You need anything?" She asks remaining by the door
"Hot chocolate if you don't mind" I took a seat putting my feet up
I was in 40 minutes earlier to give my body time to settle from the cold so until it was time to clock in I just put my feet up and rested my body.
"Alright I'll go get that for you" Sasha nodded then walked off
Once the door was shut I pulled off my shoes and rested my head back going in for more sleep.
"They only had marshmallow flavor so I made you some from scratch" Sasha burst in carrying a tray
"That's your usual ham and cheese" She pointed to the wheat bread sandwich
" Thanks Sasha" I said before pulling the tray closer
I wasn't a coffee or tea type of girl so hot chocolate was my go to any time it got super cold or my mood was low.
