"See I told yo ass they was gon make us do it" Lazarus pouted as he dragged along with me to the event room at the girls school.
"Boy they called and you agreed" I rolled my eyes
"But still, they should've let me pick what I wanna do, y'all females get to fold napkins while we gotta move tables and risk our lives on ladders" he got loud snatching the door open
Stepping inside the event room we were surrounded with working people, women and older kids were helping to place table clothes and table toppers on all the tables while the men distributed chairs.
"Welp see you at 4" I turned to leave
"You dead wrong bruh" he looked back at me
My job unlike Lazarus didn't consist of me sticking around so I dropped off the refreshments and that was it, now I was on the way home to be there with the girls.
Arriving home I unlocked the door seeing Faith in the family room.
"How was it?" I asked placing my jacket in the closet
"Didn't even notice you were gone" Faith turned from the tv giving me a smile
Today I decided to put some trust in the girls and leave them home alone, they knew all the rules they had to follow the must important being to not open the door and they did a great job.
Through the cameras in the house I could see Faith sat in the living room majority of the time only going back and forth for her laptop and the charger.
Lyric didn't leave from the room not once so I suspected she'd fell asleep or was deep into a movie like she usually is.
Most days she stayed to herself only coming out the room for dinner time or when she's called.
"Wheres lyric" I looked down at the floor where Faith sat
Shrugging her shoulders she kept her eyes on the tv
"You guys are having pizza for lunch it should be done in half an hour" I told her before making my way down the hall to check on lyric
"Your alright" I opened the bedroom door seeing her laying in the middle of the bed
"Mmh" she nodded
"We'll be getting the guest bedroom set up for you in a few days so you can have your own bed" I told her noticing how she was drowning in the king size bed
"When's lyres coming" She finally looked up at me
"Is he with mommy" she laid her head back down on her arms
"Lyres is at his friends house he'll be coming home when the season is over" I let her know for the thousandth time
