I was sitting on my desk looking at the mirror, fixing the lousy neck tie that wouldnt work properly. I was wearing a simple black suit with a pastel blue shirt under while I struggle, i heard a soft knock by my door as i look at the person leaning on my door frame, smiling

"Ive never thought my son would come to the day he'll go out on a date" my dad said as he cross his arms. I smiled widely as i face him. He walked towards me, fixing my neck tie as i laugh

"What exactly does that mean, dad?" I asked while laughing as he smiled at me, fixing my collar

"Ohh you know.. from all my kids, only our little four leaf boy hasnt date anyone, not even once" my dad said as he did one look at me as he looked proud "and now! Look at you, going on a date! All grown up" his smile got wider as i laughed

"Dad, im not on a date! Im just attending a friend's family event party.. nothing romantic there" he sighed as i saw his face change. Even mom wanted me to go date someday. But i never thought about all those stuff. He placed his hand over my shoulder "still.. have some fun, Clove" i smiled weaking

"I will, dad. Besides, the person who's picking me up is a guy, dad" u explained as i took my phone and wallet as i did one last look before, Kaffir come

"So? Kale date-" he said with joy as i giggle softly

"Gale" i corrected

"..right Gale. Gale dated a guy before? Right! And i know he like your friend, Flink-" i laughed

"Link, dad" i corrected again as he smiled at me seeing me happy

"Link.." he smiled as i laugh at our little moment "so there's that.. and nothings wrong with liking a boy"

I did a side smile as i look at him carefully as i spoke "im not gay, dad" i explained as i move towards him to fix his shirt collar ad he smiled

"You dont have to be gay to like anyone, Clove" he said with serious eyes as i look at him, amazed

I smiled happily at what he said. Ever since i was young both my parents were welcoming and open. Even when Gale was struggling to come out as bi, my parents knew about it and loved him, openly. The day my parents found out Gale was bisexual, he was about to introduce his first boyfriend after his break up with his past girlfriend. We saw the worriness of his face was he grew pale, as he came out. My parents smiled as they rushed to hug him. My sister and eldest brother were both straight, Gale was bi, Kale has say his sexuality yet.. but im happy

I moved closer as i hugged my father. He seemed surprised as he hugged back. I never admit my feelings nor did i give any attention to my feelings. I pulled away slowly as i smiled at him weakly

"Dad.. i think.. that i might have like someone" i said awkwardly as i looked down to the ground as he held both my shoulders and pulled me into a hug again

"Your mom wouldve been proud" he said proudly to me as i almost felt a tear falling as he pulls me away as i fastly suck it all in as i smiled

"Thanks, Dad" i said before Kale knocked by my door as me and my dad turned to look at him

He just came out of the shower, his hair still wet as he smiled at us "hope im not intureppting" he said as we laughed

"No, youre not, K. Whats up?" Dad asked as he face Kale fully. Kale smiled as he eyed me and laughed

"Well, im just here to call on Clove.. cause it looks like his date is here" he said teasingly as i laughed and turned one last look as i face dad. He studied me as he smiled

"You look great, boy" he said as i smiled widely at him

"Thanks dad" i said as i turned to face Kale and with him out of my room. I turned around to see dad following us as i got to the door
