"Serenity!" Leah yelled from the back room. "We're going to be late!". Serenity reluctantly came out of the bathroom. Her posture was slouched and her arms were crossed. "I don't want to go," she groaned. Leah smacked her butt and Serenity jumped. "Don't do that". Leah rolled her eyes and smirked at Serenity's changed appearance. "You look smoking babe," Leah gushed. She grabbed Serenity's purse off the coffee table and handed it to her. "You can't go by yourself?" Serenity asked. "I am not going to a club by myself. Especially not on this night," Leah said as they walked towards the door.

"And what is exactly happening tonight?" Serenity asked. "You'll see when we get there". Serenity knew exactly why they were going to the club. She just wanted to see if Leah would tell her. Leah looked down at her phone and saw the Uber coming up the street. "My feet hurt," Serenity complained. "I swear to God bitch, if you don't shut up". The Kia Sorento pulled up and the girls got in. Serenity was wearing a River Island plisse romper in a metallic color with ASOS Design nickel strapped platform heels in the gold snake color. Leah had on a Vesper bandeau fitted catsuit in black with Public Desire black snake pumps. Leah had ordered herself a lace front wig offline and was wearing it tonight. 22 inch Brazilian wavy. Serenity just wore her hair straightened as she always did.

"Let me check your face," Leah says to Serenity. She turns to her and smiles. "You look really nice tonight. I'm glad you came with me". Serenity smiled reluctantly knowing she didn't have much of a choice.

Serenity agreed to go to the club with Leah tonight as their first girls night now that Leah was single again. Her ex-fling wasn't a bad person or anything, he was just kind of a bum. Leah got tired of pushing him to try and reach his potential when it was clear he was comfortable with how he was living. "I'm sorry I called you bitch. Your whining just gets annoying after a while," Leah said. Serenity laughed. "It's okay. You know it's been a while since I've looked like this so I'm feeling a little insecure. And I was being super whiny for no reason". Leah pulled up a picture on her phone. "I want you to keep your eye out for this guy tonight". Leah turned the phone screen to Serenity.

"D'Angelo Russell?" Serenity questioned. "Yes. I want to try and get with him". Serenity furrowed her brows and twitched her top lip. She knew it. Leah was on the prowl for a new boyfriend. "I'll keep my eyes open". They pulled up to the club and there was a line to get in. They thanked the driver and got out of the car. Leah dialed Deshon's number. "Yeah. We're outside". She hung up and they waited. Deshon is Leah's cousin who also happens to be a club promoter. The three of them grew up together and Deshon gave the girls entry into clubs with no problem. A man walked out and looked at the two of them as he spoke to the bouncer. They walked up to the bouncer and he let them in. "You're prettier in person," the guy said to Leah as they walked in the club.

"Yeah, thanks," Leah brushed him off. "Who are you?" she asked him. "Henry. I work with Deshon". They walked over to the bar where Deshon was waiting. "Hey!" he exclaimed as he hugged the two. He stepped back and got a good look at Serenity. "Well damn! You clean up well," he remarked. Serenity rolled her eyes at him. "I can't mingle for long. I just wanted to say hello. Get some drinks on me and have fun". Deshon gives them one last hug before he and Henry disappear. Leah turned to the bartender. "Let me get three shots of vodka". He sits the glasses on the counter and pours the vodka in the glasses. "And for you?" he asked Serenity. "Something fruity," she said.

Serenity didn't drink hard alcohol regularly, so she didn't have a preferred drink. She just knew she wanted something to mask the disgusting taste of alcohol. The bartender handed her a drink. "Enjoy". She smiled and thanked him as Leah finished her last shot. "Drink that quick. I wanna dance," Leah said. Serenity drank as fast as her body allowed and sat the drink on the bar counter. "Ok". Leah grabbed Serenity's hand and pushed their way through the crowd to the dancefloor. Leah was dancing to the music while Serenity did a little two step and looked at the many faces in the room. She knew the faster they found D'Angelo Russell, the quicker they could leave.
