Leah opened the door to the Air BNB that D'Angelo had booked and Serenity walked in. "It's really nice in here," she says as she looks around. "Yeah," Leah says as she walks to the kitchen. Serenity follows her. "You can't be upset with me forever," Serenity whines. Leah slams a glass on the kitchen island where the sink was. "I'm not even mad that you're giving him a chance. It's just, I thought as your best friend, you would've told me. What was the point of keeping it a secret?" she asked as she filled the glass with water. Leah didn't find out about Serenity and Kyle until it was time to book a flight. Kyle had already purchased Serenity's ticket. She also had to explain to Leah that she already had a place to stay once they got out to Los Angeles. It's not like Serenity expected to keep it to herself forever, but she thought she would've had more time. At least until her and Kyle were really sure about where they were headed.

"It wasn't intentional. When I came back from LA, I was in denial about how I felt for Kyle. You know I had sworn off players, so I didn't want to pursue anything serious with him. But when he came to town and spent the night at our place, things changed".

"What changed?" she asked. "He knows about the situation with..." Serenity's voice trails off. "Oh," Leah says shockingly. "Yeah, he's understanding of what happened and isn't judging me about it. He acknowledges that he's not perfect either but that he is capable of committing to me". Leah drank the water in the glass. She couldn't be mad at Serenity. That was her best friend since they were in diapers. And Leah had a few secrets of her own so it would be hypocritical of her to hold that against Serenity. "Well whatever develops between the two of you, I'm supportive of it. I want you to find love and be happy".

The two of them sat around and talked for a while until Serenity looked at the time on her phone. "I should probably head back to Kyle's place and start getting ready," Serenity says as she gets off the large sectional in the living room. "Are you wearing the outfit I packed for you?" she asked as they walked towards the door. "I might. I still have my own outfits to choose from". They hugged as Serenity got into Kyle's car. He let her drive it just to see Leah. She turned onto the main street that would take her right back to Kyle's condo building. She pulled into the parking garage and parked his car in his designated spot. She took the elevator up to his floor and used the spare key he had given her on her first visit to unlock the door.

Kyle was sitting on the couch snapping pictures of himself. "You're so vain," Serenity smiled as she walked to her suitcase in his room. She opens it and starts putting together an outfit. A New Look knitted metallic top, Bershka high waisted skinny jeans, and Public Desire blush buckle detailed block heels. She hopped in the shower and could hear Kyle getting ready in his room. When she got out, she dried off and put on her bra and panties. She walked into the room and Kyle was sitting on the bed. He looked over at her and took in the sight of her body. He licked his lips and she brushed him off. As she went to dress herself, Kyle got up and pulled her into him.

He kissed her neck from behind as she grabbed her jeans. "Sir, can I get dressed?" she laughed. Kyle ran his hands over her panties and she giggled. "Later," she said as she swatted his hand away. He backed off and grinned, allowing Serenity to get dressed for the party. Once she was done, she took her wallet out of her purse and grabbed her phone. "Ready," she said to him. She walked over and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. He closed his eyes in bliss and they headed out.

"How did you like driving the car?" he asked as they rode to the party. Serenity was playing a song off her Rap/Hip-Hop playlist to get her in the partying mood. "Way too much horsepower for me. It's a little intimidating to drive". He grabbed her hand as he drove down the boulevard. The streetlights illuminating their faces. Kyle turned onto a street that was pitch black. There were trees and shrubbery lining the seemingly never-ending street. Serenity leaned forward in her seat to try and make out shapes, a glimmer of light, something to let her know that there was a party ahead. She sat back in her seat and just as she did, there were LED landscape lights that were lined up against what Serenity thought was a street, but was actually a driveway.
