Chapter 12

It was around 2am, I could not sleep. I could hear them all talking downstairs "Luke, a week!!" A voice shouted from outside the door "yes! She's in trouble! I don't want anyone to harm her. She's an innocent girl!! Why can't you accept her Emily!!" Luke shouted back "SHES HUMAN!! LUKE YOU KNOW WE CANT TRUST THEM!" Emily screamed "WE USED TO BE HUMANS, DONT YOU GOD DAMN REMEMBER!!" Luke screeched. The door flung open there stood Ashton "Lilly are you awake?" Is voice cracked as he slowly closed the door "Yeah, I haven't attempted to sleep yet" I sat up, my arms holding me up from the bed. "excuse them two, they argue over anything" a small laugh escaped his mouth as he sat down on the bed next to me "Ashton?" I said sitting my self fully up folding my legs "Yeah?" His eyes pierced through the darkness "I have lots of questions, and I mean lots, I was hoping maybe I could have some answers?" I looked down to my hands I could barely see with the darkness "Sure, ask away?" Ashton scouted his legs up just like mine to face me. "well first how did you become a vampire?!" "well, it was when I was around 14. I was out with my parents, a normal family day out, it was amazing I remember every moment of it, I was so happy!! Me and my dad where skipping stones and my mum was sitting with my little sister, Emma, she brought her little tea set with her-" he let out a chuckle. "-then suddenly people where running, screaming from something. I have no idea what. Suddenly I looked around Emma and my mother where gone, I don't know where. Then I heard my dad's voice 'RUN ASHTON, RUN!! SAVE YOURSELF!' I panicked, I saw dark figures running around. Then hands over my eyes, my heart stopped beating I felt cold hands running over my back, and cold lips touching my neck, then.. Teeth in my neck. Everything went black I was dead. I knew I was, but then everything went warm again, I fluttered my eyes open to see this face hanging over me, her eyes dark, black hair.. The most beautiful girl I have seen ever was hanging over me. Blood around her lips. I shuffled back. I was scared I knew I was, then she spoke, the most amazing voice ever 'I'm not here to harm you, I brought you back' her smile appeared, I melted.. That girl was Khemce, I fell in love, and so did she, we zinged" ashton stopped there in his tracks "Zinged?" I asked tilting my head "zinged, it means falling in love, it's a vampire thing. You don't know until something happens to that person, I knew I zinged with Khemce the day, the clan tried to kill her. I knew then I zinged" ashton muttered "The clan tried to kill her!!" I shouted out, the door flung open and stood Khemce "Yes, dear they tried but I was saved by my night in shinning armour" she walked over throwing her arms around Ashton's neck kissing his cheek "Awe gross" I spat laughing "You will zing soon Lilly I can feel it" Khemce muttered out as ashton took her hand. I just stared, I wanted to ask more questions but it was late, and I grew tired.

It was around 5am, Luke finally came through, I sprung up, eyes wide open. Luke didn't notice he was focused to what ever is happening outside. "Luke?" I broke the silence "Yeah?" He spun round. "I can't sleep.." I muttered under my breathe, Luke stood up and walked over, pulling up the sheets and climbing in beside me, he placed his arms open, inviting me in to cuddle, I placed my head in the crock of his neck and scouted closer, his arms folded over me, his grip was tight, like he was protecting me. Soon I dossed off, the last thing I could feel was my hair getting brushed and Luke's grip getting tighter.

Luke's p.o.v

I didn't know what was going to happen to Lilly, she's so innocent. Why is the clan on her? Do they know something about her? Something I don't know? She's an amazing girl, she's always there, she's going through a tough time now. I've just took her away from her family for a week, they are going to be furious when they find out she lied. Hopefully she doesn't. I lay with Lilly in my arms, protecting her. She looked so peaceful as she finally fell asleep, she warm so cold, my grasp got tighter, every time I heard a noise. She's needs protected and I'm going to protect her. Forget what Emily said, I can trust her!! Not all humans are bad! I should know I was one before!! 100 years ago, and I still remember my human life. How people loved vampires and how some don't. And she hasn't done anything to us so I trust her and I know everyone else does, bare Emily and Layla I can see it in Layla eyes she can't trust her. Well she's intimidating, everything has to go as planned, she wants to be kept a secret, urg I wanna know what her life was like before you know she became one of us!!
