Chapter 27

Luke's p.o.v

It's been around half an hour, both me and Karolynn where out in the hall. Giving my mother some room to help Lilly. "it's been half an hour, what's going on?" karolynn spoke from the stairs "I don't know, maybe it takes a while or something" I spoke up over my shoulder as I paced up and down the hall way, I was nervous. "It shouldn't really be that long" Karolynn spoke up again "What's taken so long" Emily's voice appeared "emmmm" Karolynn spoke out "N-nothing" I stuttered out looking up towards her noticing everyone was back "Well, I'm gonna see Lilly" Emily said taking a step forward "I don't think that necessary" I jumped in front of her "em why? Can I not see her likes?" Emily looked up to me pushing me to the side "Emily, no-" before I knew Emily had the door open "MUM" she screamed.

Emily's p.o.v

Luke was acting strange. Not letting me see Lilly? What was with him, over protective much, but anyway, I got past him I always doo. I open the door, throwing it open, I took one step in to a woman turning around, I recognised the face. I suddenly grew hot, my heart started racing "MUM" I screamed once I found the words, before I knew my feet had took off running jumping into my mums arms "Emily, darling" my mothers voice echoed through me as she flung her arms around me "b-but" I couldn't find the words, sobbing between them. "It's okay, it's okay" my mother spoke running her hand down my hair and repeating. "Y-your a-alive" I sobbed "No, no, I'm just here to help Lilly" she said pulling from me to face me, I sighed heavily "And she should be waking up soon" she spoke again looking over at Luke.

Lilly's p.o.v

I could feel myself loosen up a little, I felt safer knowing I could possibly be up again. "Don't worry, it was only side affects. Things like this will happen, this is rare for a vampire to become pregnant" a voice spoke "thanks mum" I heard Luke's voice, Luke's mum.. Is alive, she can't, she died.

I felt myself finally loosen up, my eyes grew lighter, slowly blinking them open. But my chest was tight I couldn't catch my breathe, forcing it to happen. I gasped, throwing myself forward "LILLY!!" Luke's voice screamed as he ran to my side "L-Luke" I stuttered out "It's okay, I'm here, I'm here" he said grabbing me, pulling me in close "What, happened" I spoke grabbing on to him, feeling his grip tighten "it's a side affect, your safe" he spoke to my ear, I looked up seeing his mother staring at me "t-thank you" I spoke up at her "Your welcome darling, I best be off" she smiled then changing her route to the door "No stay" I spoke knowing it was wrong, she spun round looking at me "Yes mum, please stay" Emily spoke up "Maybe for a while" she smiled "yey" Emily squealed.

It's been a few hours since I had woken up, Luke and I where cuddled on the couch. His arms around my stomach with his arms clasped around my small bump, I could feel a small smile crawl upon my face, I have and will have a perfect family. As we lay watching the tv I could hear the laughter from the kitchen, Emily finally had her mother back, seeing them made me just want to see my mother, knowing I can't until this is all over. "Lilly" Luke's voice echoed "Yeah" I spoke as I pulled my gaze to him "You know, that soon. Well have a mini one of us around?" He said giggling "Yeah" I laughed back holding my stomach "What if the clan do come back? What will happen?" He signed "I have no idea, but well have to do our best and protect everyone" I sat myself up grabbing hold of the couch "But you most importantly" Luke sat up behind me, holding onto my sides "Yeah, I guess" I sighed slightly before getting up.

I made my way through to the kitchen to see everyone sitting in different areas, all their gaze turning to me. Smiling slightly back, I made my way through to the balcony. Taken a seat, I lay back "What do I do" I mumbled out slightly "Maybe you should at least think about the baby, think about Luke, think about yourself" a voice spoke, I looked over to see Luke's mother standing against the door frame "I know, but I'm scared" I spoke as I turned to look over the lake "Lilly, you will be, more has yet to come" she spoke shutting the door behind her "I've never been this scared" I spoke trying not to show the tears that I was holding back "Go with your heart, who do you think will help you through this" Luke's mum was right. Go with my heart "My mum" I stood up, heading to the door "Thanks, again" I said as I paused in my tracks turning to Luke's mum "Your welcome, take care of my son" she stood up, tears in her eyes "I will" slowly starting to cry myself, watching as Luke's mum slowly started to fade. She never said goodbye.

I started running towards the garage, towards the cars "Lilly don't run!!" Michael shouted "Yeah yeahh.. Okay Michael" I called back, brushing past Chloe "Lilly, where are you going!!" Chloe screamed back "To see Katie" I said, trying not to sound like I was lying. I started the engine and pulled out through the garage and headed towards my aunties house.

As I pulled outside, I started to feel a sharp pain round my side. Grabbing my side I slowly started to ease off the pain. It disappeared after a moment, I grabbed the keys and jumped out the car, almost slamming the door being me. I looked up at the door, breathing in slightly then moving in the direction of the house. As I reached the door, I took another deep breathe then knocking. I no time the door was flung open "LILLY" my mother screamed before grabbing me.

"Ahh watch" I flinched as she caught my stomach

"Did I hurt you?" My mum jumped back

"No you hurt it" I laughed

"Who's it?" My mother raised an eyebrow

"Let me explain" I stood, gesturing to the living. As my mum followed I could feel the pain again.

"Right Lilly?? Explain" my mothers eyes grew wider.

"Please don't freak" I begged my mother.

"I won't!" Her eyes growing wider

"I don't think you'll believe me?" I looked down at the floor. Covering my stomach

"Your my baby girl Lilly, I will always believe you?" She sounded like she was trying to hold back her crying

"Those things that attacked the house, weren't people or animal.. They, Emm where vampires" I looked back up at her, trying not to sound crazy

"now that's crazy, how can I believe that!!" My mum jumped up

"Well you have too!!" I shouted back

"well continue, why where they at my house.." My mum sounded pissed

"After me.." I gulped

"Why you?" She asked raising an eyebrow

"Because, I'm in contact with them. I have been for quiet a while now!" I rolled my eyes slightly

"Who?" Her voice raised

"Luke.." I stuttered out

"Well stay away from him!" Her voice raising higher

"I can't!!" I screamed out

"Why not, Lilly you never bothered about boys till now. What's happened to you" she grew closer, by the time she started growing closer I felt the pain again, it wouldn't go this time.

"B-because" I couldn't get it out, the pain was growing worse and worse

"Lilly?" My mums voice grew worried

"Call Luke" I screamed out, looking up at her, I could feel my eyes growing hotter, the look on my mums face was fear. She stepped back, falling as she did before getting up to phone Luke.
