Chapter 6

Another day of school. This time I was seriously dreading it. I hardly slept at all, my mind was playing tricks again.. The room just wouldn't stop spinning. I finally found the strength in my legs to pick myself out my bed and start getting ready for school. My father was in the kitchen sipping away at his tea. "hey dad, do you know where paracetamol is?" I said as I rummaged through the cupboard "I haven't bought any yet? Are you alright?" He said while placing his cup into the sink "Just got a sore head I guess.. Well we ready to go?" I said as I walked over to the table grabbing my bag and heading for the car, my dad grabbing his car keys signalling that he was.

I finally arrived at school. The only good thing about Wednesday was that the time table does 2nd period, 3 and 4 then 5th and then home.. I love short days, I had art first thing.. Great, I slowly trailed along the field to find Sawsan, Riddle and Katie sitting they where talking about something, something they didn't want me to know. "hey!" I said as I reached to them.. They all went quiet and looked to the ground "Ehhh?" I said trying to create small talk "Hey Lilly, Was that your dad?" Riddle said looking up at me "yeah, crazy huh, him being around last night and this morning.." I said staring at nothing in particular the atmosphere was awkward. I finally got saved as the be rang for school to start.. Thank god I said my goodbyes and started heading for my art class.

I arrived Luke, if that was his name was at the back of he class in his seat already, wow he's early I strolled in and placed my bag on the table, taking my seat and watched as the class pilled in.. Art was sorta slow today, maybe because I was too distracted, Luke kept staring at me at the corner of his eyes, I could feel his eyes staring into my soul. I was getting uncomfortable that I had to speak up. "Em why do you keep staring!!" I said scouting along me seat turning to face him "I'm not!" He said looking away "You are, you have been all lesson and all lesson yesterday, Why?" I said tilting my head to the side "Well I can help it, your smell is strong!" Luke said placing his hands on the desk. My smell? What's he on about? Yeah I never showered this morning but I was so weak.. Or is he talking about my perfume? I didn't answer his question. I was to confused too.. I dragged my notebook along the table, I decided to doodle, thinking it might get my mind off what Luke just said, I opened my notebook to the drawing, I thought maybe some shading wouldn't make it so obvious that it was from my dream.. "Why does he look like me?" A voice said from beside me I looked up noticing Lukes eyes where glued to my drawing "Emm, I don't know, does it? I drew this well before you moved here!!" I said stuttering my words out "Well it kinda does but my eyes are blue not black" he said pointing at my drawings eyes. Finally the bell went, it saved me once again. I placed everything away in my bag and started heading to find the girls

Lying in my bed, my the room still so dark.. It was getting dark outside as well, I just wanted out of here, the pressure in my head was too much. I grabbed my coat and headed out the door. No one was in, my brother had practice and my dad was away working again and my mother was out shopping... I had my head phones in, letting my feet take me wherever they wanted. By now it was pitch dark, I didn't know where I was but it looked all so familiar I decided to go exploring more, I came across lights in the distance so I followed, rustling behind me but I didn't dare look back, the noises gotten closer.. My heart panicked and I started running, I finally came along to the lake behind Katie's. I decided to sit, my heart was pounding and I couldn't catch my breathe.. It felt as if I was sitting for hours but it was only minutes. I heard voices and out came beside me a gang of about 10 people came out. I jumped up and hide behind a tree to hear maybe what they where talking about "Oh that was brill. I was dying for that" a voice said "yeah man, tasted so good" a familiar voice echoed I look over watching them as by I took a step forward standing on a twig *Snap* the sound echoed through the trees, I stopped dead in my tracks. But they never heard, relief filled through me. It looked like the new people I took a few steps closer, and glanced over they where all there bare one? I felt a hand on the back of me, I turned around to see a familiar face, I wanted to speak but I couldn't find the words "Lilly why you here? You need to leave before they see you" the face grew closer it was Luke standing beside him must of been Francesca "B-but?" My voice trailed off "Please Lilly now!! Your in danger" Francesca said as she came closer "In danger?" I spat "Yes you are, no leave!!" Luke's voice raised. My heart sank I was so confused but I started running. Running faster and faster I noticed Katie's house in the distance and I new her garden fence wasn't so high to climb so I ran straight over.

"pssttt" I said picking a stone up from the ground ready to through it at Katie's window. Her brother and mum must be sleeping by now. It's late ass, one more knock at her window and it opened Katie standing rubbing her eyes, Shit I woke her "What is it Lilly it's midnight" she spat as she hung out the window "Yeah I know, umm, ehh.. I need to talk to you!!" I said "At this time why not at school??" She said yawning "I know but I was in the woods and umm, I bumped into someone or two people actually and umm, what's so dangerous about that part of the woods?" I said finally "What do you mean by dangerous??" Katie said opening her eyes wide "No what we will speak tomorrow at school. Bye" I walked away and ran back to mine. As I got out side, police cars where outside my house and all the lights where on. I walked up my drive both hands in my coat pockets and opened the door, Both my mother and father jumped of the chair, tears in their eyes "LILLYY" they both shouted running to me. "ummm? What's going on?" I said as I noticed the police in the room "Where were you!! We have been worried sick we came home to you not here and it started getting dark and there was no sign of you!! LILLY WHERE DID YOU GOO" my mums voice full of emotions "I went a walk and let my feet take me anywhere I ended up at the lake house and found some friends an-" my fathers cut me off "The lake house?? That old place no one ever goes there" "Yeah, but the new people live there now " a police officer came over and placed a hand on my shoulder "Looks like everything is okay now" the officer said as he walked out the door.. "Lilly you look tired, go to your bed. You have school tomorrow" I nodded in agreement and started heading up stairs too my room, crashing myself as soon as I arrived at my bed..
