Jane's POV

Our laughing abruptly stop.

"Who's there?" Jeron asked.

I'm looking at him right now, he's on top of me. Tapos-- oh. Did I say on top of me?

Hahaha I mean--ahhh! Diba kasi he was tickling me earlier? I'm lying down but my feet touch the floor. He's on top of me but di sya nakadagan or whatever dirty people might be thinking right now. Putik! Bakit ba kasi ang defensive ko? Huh! Forget it! So he's on top of me, right? But again, di nakadagan... Habang nakatingin ako sa kanya at sya nakatingin sa door, nakikita ko'ng nag uup and down ang adam's apple nya while swallowing a lump in his throat after saying 'whos there?'

Di pa talaga sya umaalis from the TOP OF ME.

I snorted. "Ano to knock knock joke?" I snorted some more. I like snorting these days.. Ha ha ha

"Tumahimik ka nga. Balak na sana kitang halikan e kainis tong- sino yan?" Tinagalog nya ang who's there haha I was in the middle of rolling my eyeballs when I figure blushing would be the right reaction.

I mean better, if not right. Haha so get the picture? In the MIDDLE of rolling my eyeballs? Combulsion? Haha but no. Hinampas ko sya ng malakas sa balikat. Umaray sya syempre. Magpakaconsistent na lang ako na namimisikal. Ha! Ewan.

After 5 seconds or so nang wala pa ring sumasagot, he went for the door. Huh! Sino ba naman kasing sane at hindi insane ang kakatok sa pinto ng may pinto ng alas kwatro. At bakit ba kasi ang ingay namin e alas kwatro na.

Oh my! Oh Gosh baka may nagising kaming boarder! Oh no nakakahiya baka isipin nila naglalampungan kami dito haha pero a pissed boarder would have been shouting right now and helooow? It's a Friday night or a saturday morning whatever. Everybody's out.

Oh no! Hindi kaya murderer? Ung sa scream? Pugot ulo! Goosebumps everywhere. Nye. Shallow.

Jeron was almost halfway to the door when I stopped him.

"Wait lang. Antayin mo ako." Bumangon ako at sumunod sa kanya.

"What? What's happening?" Ay may lakad ata 'to nagmamadali.

"We're happening. Watcha think? Haha sabay kasi nating buksan baka mamaya aswang yan."

He face me at napakunot noo ako sa reaction nya. He's wide-eyed. A look of horror plain on his face. I stoped walking.

"J-jane? Wag kang lumingon. Sa likod mo...may..." Nanginginig pa boses nya kaya kinabahan na rin ako at nagtayuan buong balahibo ko sa katatwan.

"J-jer--on... A-ano yon?"

"Just don't look back, ok? Just walk going to me?" Bakit di na sya nanginginig?

"Ano nga yon! Just tell me!" Naiinis ba ako nito o natatakot?

"J-just... No!"

I might be stubborn in some way or just curious coz slowly-so slowly, I turned my head to the right.

At the corner of my left eye, I saw Jeron walk towards me and....

"Boo!"

I've never shriek this loud in my entire life. Color drains my face while I cover my mouth with my right hand habang ang isa kong kamay nasa chest ko, struggling to do the normal breathing.
