"I don't have much time." Timmy checks his watch.
"What'd you get us?" Quinn wiggles in her seat.
"Is it shiny?" Marcy goes on.
"Is it personal?" Mercedes adds.
"Girls." Laura chides quietly. "We have to let him talk. We appreciate anything you'll give us, Timmy. Thank you."
Timmy smiles as the other girls thank him. "You're welcome. It was pretty hard to keep these from you."
"Why? What is it?" Quinn whines.
Timmy leaves and comes back with a square with a white cloth covering it. He gives it to Laura. "Happy Christmas."
"It's May, Timmy." Laura says.
"Happy Christmas." He repeats.
She rips off the sheet and screams before remembering the twins and calming herself.
Timmy has gotten her a small, cloud white bunny rabbit with a pink nose and startling dark blue eyes.
She sniffles. "It's so cute!"
"It's a girl." Timmy tells her. "What do you want to name her?"
"Um..." Laura thinks. "Princess!"
"Princess?!" Marcy make a face.
"What's wrong with Princess?!" Mercedes demands.
"It's not a name! it's a title!"
"Daddy calls me Princess. Mal calls Mickey Princess."
"Still not a name..."
"I don't care!" Laura snaps. "Her name is Princess!"
"I hope she poops on you..."
Quinn laughs. "Am I next?!"
Timmy leaves and comes back with what they know is a birdcage.
Quinn reaches for it but he gives it to Mercedes. She pouts. "No fair!"
Mercedes rips the sheet off and squeaks. A nightingale wakes up sleepily and ruffles her feathers. "Aww! Hi, pretty-"
"Girl." Timmy supplies.
"Hi, pretty girl! Aren't you so beautiful and gothic!"
The bird shakes herself and begins singing as she hops across her bar to rub her head against Mercedes' fingers curled into the cage.
Mercedes strokes her gently before singing a snippet of I Don't Want to Cry by Mariah Carey.
The nightingale squawks loudly before rubbing faster.
"Aww! I'm going to name you... Harmony."
"That's a good name, Merce." Laura tells her.
"Better than your dropped piece of cotton." Marcy mutters.
Laura glares at her.
"Girls." Timmy keeps the peace. "It's Quinn's turn."
Quinn beams. "Yay!"
"Why I gotta be last?!" Marcy is upset.
"Because you are, baby!"
Marcy screams lowly at her.
"I'll take them back." Timmy threatens.
"You can't take animals back." Marcy frets. "Breeders won't take them and shelters will kill them."
"Who said they were animals?"
"It's not?" Quinn could cry.
Timmy leaves and returns with a square. It also has a white covering.
