"Cedes?" Kurt murmurs.

"Hmm?" Mercedes hums.

"Did you go to the hair salon today?"

She's confused. "No. I had a photo-shoot."

"Do they put in weave?"

"Not on the timetable we had. They-" She stops as she realizes what he's asking. She blushes.

Kurt looks at her with wide eyes. "That's your hair?!"

Santana, Brittany, Rachel, Tina and Sugar snap their heads to her so fast, the boys hold their necks.

Quinn puts a hand on Mercedes' leg. "So what?! Her hair is beautiful!"

"It is!" Kurt marvels. "Can I touch it?"

"Kurt!" Mercedes is exasperated and embarrassed.

"I've never seen your natural hair before."

"Yes, you have. I wore it a lot sophomore year."

"I thought that was a wig! It was so beautiful! Can I touch it?"

"Your hands are dirty."

Kurt hops up and runs to the bathroom, where he washes his hands. He comes back eagerly.

She sighs. "Sure."

He touches the tips then strokes from the roots. "Is this your real hair color?"

"We don't dye our hair. Other colors."

Lauren smirks. "Are you sure?"

Quinn gives her an evil look. "I'm blonde."

"But-?"

"Mal dyed my hair when I wanted lowlights."

Mal smiles to himself.

Quinn throws a cheese wonton at him.

He snickers and eats it.

"You dyed her hair?" Lauren looks Mal up and down.

He lifts his shoulders. "I don't know what happened. I wasn't near the dye bottle."

"You liar!" Quinn screams.

Marc, Mike and Marcy are having a hard time not laughing.

"Quinn, it's over." Laura tells her- again. "Let it go."

"Why'd you spend two years as a brunette then?" Lauren wants to know.

"Lauren!" Mercedes admonishes.

"I just don't get it." Lauren lifts her shoulders.

"When you dye your hair a dark color when it's a light color, the dark takes over since it's easier to add color." Marcy explains. "But going from dark to light is way harder cuz it's more work to take away color. He dyed her hair dark brown. Going back blonde would have stripped her hair worse than it was."

"Worse than it was?" Santana frowns. "Dying your hair brown doesn't strip your hair."

"It does when you don't use actual brown hair dye."

"What did you do?" Ellen is horrified.

Mal stuffs his mouth with pizza.

"He used brown paint, root beer and wood stain." Marcy says flatly.

Marc and Mike giggle.

Puck, Kurt, Finn, Sam, Blaine, Joe and Rory look at Mal with wide eyes. "No..."
