*Christmas Morning*
*John's POV*

My eyes fluttered open, and I looked around, taking in my surroundings.

Holy shit it's Christmas!

I tried to jolt up, but was held back by something. I looked down.

Are those arms?

I looked behind me and gasped.

Alex is holding me.

I admired his face. He somehow managed to look even cuter well he was sleeping.

He started to stir and I quickly turned away and closed my eyes, as if I had never woken up.

I heard him mumble something along the lines of "shit what the fuck". I forced myself not to laugh at his reaction.

He slowly pushed me off of him, which made me frown slightly.

I opened my eyes, pretending that I had just woken up. I noticed that the Christmas tree in the corner had a bunch of presents under it.

I looked over at the bed where Herc and Laf were sleeping, and saw that they were both awake, staring at Alex and I. I felt heat rise to my cheeks.

Ah shit, they know.

"Er, look guys, gifts!" I yelled, dramatically motioning towards the Christmas tree, desperate to move the attention away from me.

Thankfully, they both looked away from us and gasped at the stack of presents.

I laughed slightly at their reaction. "My family should be up soon..."

"I'm already up, Dingus." I heard a voice say from behind me. I looked around to see Mary smiling at me. "Merry Christmas, bitch."

I started to scold her for swearing well the others broke out laughing. "You too, petite soeur." Laf said, calling her by her nickname. Laf and Herc were both basically part of my family. My mom is their second mother.

"I'm awake too!" Henry exclaimed, from the other side of the room. I almost forgot that he was there, since he's so quiet.

Well we waited for the rest of my family to wake up, Laf and Herc both went into my kitchen to make breakfast, which Alex and I both insisted must be French toast. Laf responded by flipping us off, but he made it anyway.

Once the food was done, my whole family was downstairs, besides my dad. He was probably still asleep, since most nights he works until he falls asleep at his desk.

"Present time?" James asked, bouncing up and down, excitedly. My mother smiled lovingly and nodded.

"Yay!" James and Martha both exclaimed. They both dug into their presents.

Once all of my siblings were done, Laf started opening his presents. I gave him a French cook book and oven mits, Herc have him a rainbow hat, and Alex gave him a baguette plushie, which he hit us all over the head with. James gave him a drawing of him, that looks more like a blob.

Herc was next, and I gave him a sowing machine, Laf gave him a horse plushie, and Alex gave him a bunch of fabrics. Henry gave him a pin cushion that he made.

Finally, it was my turn.

The first gift was from my mother, which was a pride flag to put on my wall. I may or may not have cried a little.

My siblings all gave me a blanket, with my name on it.

Herc gave me a sketch book with a large "J" on it.

Laf gave me a marker kit, which I was very thankful for, since I had "lost" quite a few of my markers. (Aka, James stole them to do Laf's drawing)

Laf and Herc both looked at the ground, guiltily. "I didn't know you were coming today, mon ami, I left the gift at home. I was going to give it to you when school started again."

"Same... sorry dude."

"It's fine!" Alex insisted. "You guys didn't even have to get me anything."

"Nonsense!" Laf exclaimed. "It's Christmas!"

"I have your gift upstairs!" I exclaimed, running up to my room and grabbing a present wrapped in green wrapping paper, with a large gold bow on the top.

I came back downstairs and proudly handed him the gift. He looked at me, confused, before suspiciously opening the gift.

He gasped and pulled out a lap top. "John! You didn't have to get me this!"

"Yes I do!" I pouted. "It's your first Christmas as my friend, I want it to memorable!"

He smiled at me, making my heart race. "Thank you so much!"

He hugged me, making my face turn red like a tomato.

"N-no problem."

We pulled apart, and I assumed the gifts were over until my mom spoke up. "Oh, Alex, darlin', I have a gift for you too!"

We all looked at her confused. I took a sip of my eggnog, continuing to look around the room for the gift.

"My blessing."

I choked on the eggnog, my face turning bright red. "MOM!"

Laf, Herc, and Henry all bursted our laughing. Mary looked amused, and James just continued to play with the toy truck he got from Herc.

Alex just looked at her, confused. "What do you mean?"

"NOTHING!" I exclaimed, stopping my mother from answering.

"But-"

"Nope. Nothing." I interrupted him from asking.

He rolled his eyes jokingly.

"We'll leave you guys alone." My mother said, before making my siblings leave the room. She followed behind them.

"I love your mom." Herc said, laughing slightly.

"Yeah... me too." I said, smiling to myself.

"Merry Christmas, les perdants." Alex said, raising his glass of eggnog.

I smiled, and did the same. "Merry Christmas, Hamilton."
