*John's POV*
*Two Months Later*

I laid on Alex's bedroom floor, randomly doodling in my sketchbook. I felt somebody staring at me, so I looked up and was immediately met with Alex's eyes. His whole face went red and he looked away. "S-sorry." He stuttered.

"Like what you see?" I said, smirking slightly. Where's this confidence coming from?

He somehow managed to turn even more red. "Y-yeah I guess."

"Alexander Hamilton? Stuttering? What is this? What did you do with Alex?" I joked.

He shrugged. "You tell me."

I looked at him, confused. "What?"

"I like you, John."

I've heard him say this before. Laurens I like you a lot. Always as a friend. Nothing more.

"Okay?" I said, unsure how to answer.

"Not like that John." He said, sighing and putting his head in his hands. "I love you."

My eyes widened. No way.

Thoughts raced through my head. Alexander loves me?

We sat their in uncomfortable silence. I wasn't sure how exactly to answer.

"I almost confessed to you two years ago." I said the first thing that came to my mind, with a slight laugh. "In a note, because I was too pussy to tell you to your face."

Alex laughed too. "A note? That's so cliche."

"Yeah, I know. It was a random yellow paper that I found on my dads desk." I said, remembering how I had snuck into his office and stolen the paper. "I ended up just leaving it on the floor, after you confessed to Eliza."

His eyes widened. "Alex?" I asked, confused.

Alex wordlessly went into his dresser, pulling out a shoe box. I raised a eyebrow at him, but didn't say anything as he pulled out a crumpled, yellow paper. My eyes widened as I recognized it.

"Is this it?" Alex asked, handing me it. My eyes scanned over the paper, in amazement.

"Y-yeah." I said, speechless. "How'd you get that?"

"I picked it up off the floor. I tried to figure out who had written it and who it was for." He said, with a slight laugh. "Some detective, I couldn't even recognize your handwriting."

Then it hit me. "You kept it all these years? Not even knowing it was for you?"

He turned a little red. "Yeah. I thought it was cute."

I turned just as red. "R-really? I thought it was cheesy." I said, anxiously rubbing the back of my neck.

"Nah, it was romantic." He said, which made my heart pound. A idea popped into my head.

"Well, Alex," I started to say, putting the letter out for him to take. "This is for you."

He smiled and took the letter, reading it. After he was done, he looked back at me, leaning closer to me. "I would love to go out with you."

I smiled. "What are you going to do to the note?"

He shrugged. "Maybe frame it. Put it on a wall. Why not?"

I smiled. "That sounds fantastic."

We leaned closer and closer, until our faces were only inches away. I summoned all my courage, and closed the space in between us.

It was electric.

You could almost feel the sparks in the air.

We sat there, enjoying it, until eventually pulling away. My lips tingled.
