I woke up alone. I immediately looked around for James. I spotted Laf and Herc both staring at me from across the room.

"What are you doing?"

"We were waiting for you to wake up." Herc answered.

"Oh." I sat up. "Where did they go?"

"Henry brought them home since it was getting late." Laf said. I noticed that he was tapping his foot, anxiously.

"Really? What time is it?"

"7 a.m."

This is the second morning.

It's been almost a day and John hasn't woken up.

I pushed away all my dark thoughts. "Oh. Anything on John?"

They both sadly shook their heads.

I sighed. I wanted to do something, anything, but I was too tired to get up.

Laf took notice of this. "We can go get some coffee."

I nodded. "Thanks..."

Herc followed him as he left the room. They left the door open. I have the feeling that they were talking about something involving John, but I was too tired to ask.

I need my fucking coffee.

I was about to doze off again when I heard a knock. I looked over to see who it was.

"Mary?" I asked, not exactly sure if it was her. She looked way different then last time I saw her. She was taller, and her freckles seemed to be more evident. She looked way older. Lastly, she looked emotionally drained. She had small bags under her eyes, meaning that she probably hasn't slept in awhile.

"Oh hey, Alex." She said. She looked over at John and her face immediately hardened. "C-can I talk to my brother? Alone, please?"

I could tell that she was putting up a defensive front.

"Yeah, of course." I said, standing up. "I'll be outside if you need me."

I walked outside and leaned against the wall next to the door.

I waited for a few minutes, playing with the bracelet I had on my wrist. John has given me this bracelet when we first met. I always wore it, even when we drifted apart.

I heard footsteps walk towards me and I looked up to see Laf and Herc walking towards me.
