Emerson's POV
Settling into my new Dublin life has been a dream, though we are kept pretty busy so I think that has helped. We had spent the time leading up to the official moving date making arrangements, such as where we would live and what we planned to do for an income. I, of course, had needed to apply for a visa, though the fact that we were planning to wed and operate a business should assist with that process.
Arden wanted to continue to be his own boss, but in no way wanted to step on any toes by trying to return to the bar and private club he shared with Tomas. Instead, after much discussion and planning, we developed a new concept, one we plan to do as a team, with the help of some business investors we would be expanding on the existing business by adding a second location.
This won't be an ordinary bar, it is planned to be a high class establishment, multiple levels, space divided for their own purposes - a bar, a nightclub, a stage for live entertainment and other "events" we may plan to have. We are looking into an option to expand into a restaurant as well, however that is further down the road. My favorite spaces of course are the sound proofed dance studio where I hope to start teaching in and the adjoining office space we have, which Arden insisted on. Personally I think he likes the idea of taking me on my desk whenever he likes, therefore this gives him the best access to me to do so, luckily I am not complaining.
Housing wise, we have opted to stay with his mother for now, until we get the business underway, as we want to buy a house together and set some roots down before even considering a family of our own. A family, something I have missed so much of but have in spades here.
My days are spent planning and organizing the chaos of renovating an old location into a new hip place, or fine tuning details of our wedding which Arden insists we should have sooner, rather than later. My evenings however, are wonderful. If we are not having quiet home cooked Irish dinners with his mother, than we are out with Jillian and Tomas, or Ashling, before heading home to make love.
The best nights are the nights we don't go home though, the nights we visit the private club, or he books a hotel room for a night. Those nights are nights he has something new, different or special lined up. They're the nights he knows I can't be kept quiet, the only downside to sharing housing with his mother.
This week is incredibly exciting though, as Sam and Abi will fly in for the weekend to go dress shopping, I couldn't be more thrilled. I've missed them dearly, having to make do with the modern technology that is Skype to keep us connected. Naturally the two of them are on my bridal party, but i have also asked Ashling and Jillian, so I have been blessed with a gorgeous line up.
"Emerson, I'm late, I am sorry love," Arden called out, making his way to the table I'm sat at. We'd planned to have lunch and discuss business and wedding details that needed to be locked in, otherwise things would fall behind schedule.
"It's okay, Arden, they kept my wine glass full so I'm good," I smiled a coy look at him as he leaned down to kiss my cheek, before deciding to slide in next to me, rather than across from me.
"No, Emerson, it's not okay love. I kept you waiting and that is not my intention. You are still my number one priority cailín álainn, don't you forget that."
"Well you are here now, that's all that matters to me," I respond, resting my head on his shoulder. It doesn't seem to matter how long we are together, how many hours we share in each others company, the excitement is still there, my heart rate quickens as soon as we are together.
Grabbing a menu off the table, Arden drops a hand to my knee and begins to stroke my inner thigh gently, causing me to sit up straighter in the booth.
