Running on the cold, damp asphalt road bare foot is actual hell. I kind of wish Freddie didn't throw my heels. Or better yet, I wish he was still carrying me.

I ran behind Roger and Brian, who were quite speedy. Roger's f*cking great in P.E. and Brian's got legs for miles, so that leaves me at a disadvantage. But enough complaining and more running.

I'm sure we've lost the security guards by now, but it was vital for the four of us to get back to HQ in time. Speaking of which, where was Freddie? He did sprint ahead of us, but he's gotten out of sight which was starting to concern me.

"Roger, where'd Freddie go?" I caught up to the blonde. He had given the case to Brian, which he was pulling beside him.

"I don't know.. I think he went around the corner."

We turned the corner and saw Freddie's pink cape. Thank God we found him! I was worried he would get caught by the police or captured by the other side.

He was standing around with this woman and chatting with her. Was she someone he knew? What was he doing? Well whatever it was, we had to go get back to the car fast!

The three of us caught up to Freddie. The lady looked at our wild group and raised an eyebrow. I get it. We must look like complete idiots with these outfits! Freddie turned around and was radiating with joy.

"Oh lovies! This is Mary! You must meet her!"

Mary smiled back at us and held out her hand. I raised an eyebrow, but I still shook it. One thing I learned from becoming a spy (and really before then) was to not trust people so easily. I don't know, but she had an off vibe to her.

But her smile was warm, and her stance was welcoming. Freddie seemed to be ecstatic around her, so maybe she isn't all that bad.

"Greetings, Mary."

"Hello..." she paused, waiting for my name.

I hesitated. Did I really want to give out my name? Freddie gave me an encouraging nod, "It's John," I smiled.

"Dear, this is John, Roger, and Brian. They're my buddies from Spies of Rhye-"

"Um?" I interjected. Bri, Roger, and I exchanged worried glances at each other and back at Freddie. Did he just tell her we were spies? That's like rule number one of what not to do!

Brian spoke up, "Freddie, what are you talking about? I'm sorry, that man loves to make up stories. We're just.. uh.."

"Prostitutes!" Roger blurted.

"No.. not that," Brian nervously chuckled.

"Then why are you dressed like that..?" Mary inquired.

"It was a mission, love. We were at a drag show."

"Freddie-" Brian sighed.

"No need to worry, Bri! She already knows about the program."

"She knows? Since when? How?" I asked. I was really damn confused. Who the hell was she?

"I'll explain it to you all later. We should head to our car and get changed out of all this! You brought the extra clothes, right Rog?" Freddie turned to the blonde. He nodded, "Right then! Let's go, dears!"

He treated this whole thing like it was normal. I mean, here was this random lady that apparently knows about the spy program? I've never heard her name anywhere.

It was an awkward jog and a half back to the car. Well, for everyone except Freddie. I'd never see him smile so wide. When we arrived, Freddie asked Mary to turn away for a while so we could get dressed into more comfortable clothing.
