"What do you want for Christmas?" Roger asked me, dangling his head off the couch, "It's already the 21st, and I need to get you a gift!"
"In the words of Mariah Carey, 'all I want for Christmas is you.'"
Roger sat up and pouted, "Bri! That doesn't help! You must want something!"
"Honestly, I don't really want anything. I just want to spend the holidays with you," I flipped a page in my book. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Roger's whining face.
"God, you're too humble," he groaned.
"Should I take offense?" I chuckled as I closed the novel and scooted closer to cuddle with Roger.
"Yes!" Rog complained as he sunk into my arms, "How am I supposed to get you a gift if your humble ass won't tell me anything!"
I ruffled my hands through his hair, "You don't need to stress about getting me something."
"Well, then that would be unfair because you're gonna get me something, right?"
"Oh..."
Roger shot up, "You weren't gonna get me anything?!"
"No!" I opposed, "I was! I just... didn't think about it."
"Well, why don't we go shopping together?" he suggested.
"But then we'll know what we got for each other."
Rog proposed, "Maybe we can bring Freddie and John along. So we'll get gifts for each of our partners."
"Oh yes do bring me!" Freddie appeared at our door. I swear, he always just pops up at our most intimate moments. It must be a kind of magic he has.
"Holy sh*t!" Roger exclaimed as he whipped around. He sighed, relieved it was just Freddie, "God, you gave me a sheer heart attack!"
"Sorry, dear! But will you please bring me?" Freddie pleaded, "Besides, I'm going to John's family's Christmas dinner and I haven't gotten him a gift yet."
"Yeah, of course you can!" I nodded.
"Yay! Thank you, dearies!" Freddie bounced gleefully, "We're inviting John too, right? I'll go look for a gift with Rog, and you can go with Deaky!"
"Yes, let's go now!" excitedly, Roger exclaimed, "I'm gonna go text John about it."
Roger and I grabbed our coats and scurried out with Freddie. The flaky falling of snow was quite whimsical. Haven't really been in snow for a while! With the holiday cheer all around, I couldn't have been more excited to go to the mall to shop for gifts!

"B*tchhhhhh!" John pointed at Roger as he entered the mall. He sipped on his Coca-Cola as we noted his entrance.
"B*tchhhh!!!" Roger hurried over to the youngest and pulled off a wondrous handshake with him.
Freddie scoffed, "That's new."
I chuckled and greeted Deaky. We started to walk around in a group just exploring the area. The whole vastness of the place amazed me!
"It's so big!" I gaped.
"That's what she said," Roger muttered to Freddie, "It's also what he said when he saw my-"
"Okay!" John interjected, probably saving me from embarrassment, "Don't you think that's a bit private, Rog? Besides, let's not talk about that while we're shopping for Christmas."
"You were the one who said you're called Deaky because of your big 'Deak' energy!" Roger argued.
John gasped, "Those days are behind me!"
