Chapter Twenty Seven: Ready!

"Nia are you sure?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Hel habang nakatingin sa nakalutang na model ng laro na ginawa ko para sa winter training camp ngayong taon.

I gave him a wicked smile bago kuntentong sinandal sa sandalan ng upuan ang likod ko. I clasped both of my hands in front of me while still smiling like an idiot in front all of them.

"This will kill them!" Cashiella hysterically said na napatayo pa sa upuan nya because of objection.

"Not technically." Walang emosyon na sabi ko giving all of them a glare na ikinatahimik nila.

"I'm not that cruel." I stood up bago inikot ang hologramic model na nasa harap nila.

It's a dome like model na mabubuo gamit ang isang illusion. I kinda tapped Fritz's shoulder on helping me create this game while she also tapped her other friends kaya mas napabilis ang pagbuo nito sa inaasahan.

It's a survival game na inimprovise ko lang from the original game na nilalaro tuwing winter training camp. There would be deadly challenges and missions but not unlike the past games, their enemies would be random. It would stem from their greatest nightmares, and from their deepest fears. May mga default na kalaban naman na nakaprogram pero para iyon sa mga simpleng misyon lang at pagsubok.

"This model was inspired by the dome we entered nung unang levelling ko sa Academy while the rules are stemmed  from the Alpha's game." Realization dawned into them pero may bakas parin ng mag-aalinlangan sa mga mukha nila.

"Do you think it's a bit cruel kung pupwersahin natin silang harapin ang mga kinatatakutan nila?" Lynia asked with her voice stained by anxiousness kaya muli akong napabuntong-hininga.

"Then shall we let the enemy use it against them? Kung hindi natin sila tuturuang harapin ang kadiliman sa buhay nila, the dark mages will surely use those things against them." Mahinahon na paliwanag ko sakanila.

"I just hope this would end up like we all expected. Dahil kung hindi, we might lose some of them." Seryosong sabi ni Helios bago naunang tumayo at lumabas ng conference hall.

After dismissing the meeting ay mag-isang naglakad ako para bumalik sa opisina ko to finalize things with Lukas.

On my way ay natigilan ako ng biglang makaramdam ng malamig at malambot na bagay sa pisngi ko.

I smirked bago tinangala ang kalangitan.

Five minutes after the unexpected first fall of snow ay umalingaw-ngaw sa buong alta guild ang napakalakas na sirena. It was the kind of sirene na pinapatunog kapag may drills o kaya naman ay emergency situation, but this time, we all know that it signals the official start of the Winter Training Camp.

Nagtatakbuhan ang lahat papunta sa field dahil yun na talaga ang proseso. All participants would gather in the field dahil doon sila ibibrief tungkol sa mga rules at sa mechanics ng magiging training para sa season na ito. Two years ago ay ganun din ang ginawa namin, and after that hell broke lose.
