Chapter Twelve: Path

It's 2 in the morning when the rain stopped kaya naman at exactly 3 am ay handa na kami para sa paglalakbay na gagawin namin.

"Be safe Nia." Helios saud as he pull me into a quick tight hug.

"I will. Ikaw din, come back to me alive Hel." mahinang sabi ko sakanya bago ako humakbang palayo sakanya.

I faced my team bago naglakad palapit sakanila.

"Let's go." Seryosong sabi ko bago nauna sa paglalakad.

Cashiella and Lukas joined me habang sina Nikolei, Copper at Luques naman ay nasa likod namin kasama ang tatlong myembro ng elite group.

"So how was your training before you became a part of the first troop?" Tanong ni Nikolei kay Akemi Mitsuo na nasa tabi nya.

Napailing na lang ako.

You can't really expect Nikolei to shut his mouth all throughout the whole journey right?

"It's tough, but worth it." She answered as she gave the guy an awkward smile.

"Oh! Ours are hellish. We lived our lives training for this and now here we are, still fighting for our lives." Daldal nya habang nakangiti.

"Oh tell me about it! Every single day I would call a healer to remove wounds and scars on my body so my skin would remain flawless!" Reklamo naman ni Cashiella na kinailing-iling lang namin nina Lukas.

"Well this is who we are now." Luques said with a playful grin plastered on his face.

"When I first came here, my first impression of you guys was a bunch of spoiled brat bitches and good for nothing scumbags who feed on fame and glory." Seryosong sabi ko naman para makisali sa usapan nila. I don't want to be left out. Hindi naman ako kill joy. May oras lang naman, lalo na kapag alam kong kailangan.

Sunod-sunod na singhap ang narinig ko mula sa mga kaibigan ko kaya wala sa sariling napatawa ako.

"That's harsh! I didn't knew you thought of us that way!" Exaggerated na sabi ni Cashiella na nanlalaki ang mga matang nakatingin saakin.

"But yeah, I'm spoiled, and a brat~But totally not a bitch!" Pahabol pa nya na ikinatawa ni Nikolei.

His laugh echoed in this whole forest.

Medyo malayo na din kami sa cabin na pinanggalingan namin, but we are still in the premise of courtville, one of the divisions here in Crossville. Sunod na division ang Hemera and then Sobano and then finally, Southbound. Southbound is still a part of Heleina Cross but it is the last sub city that composes Crossville

Come to think of it. Now that I have finally become an official on Heleina Cross' Army, mas alam ko na ngayon ang bawat sulok ng Heleina Cross as if it was just the back of my hand. I can easily travel to any place and division, may it be by means of foot or by wheels.

On my training before and after becoming the general, I also learned on how to track people using only what is given to me by the situation. 

It was really hard to learn, but damn worth it when you actually learned it.

"What does it feels like to be part of the alphas?" Hiro Hatashi asked, finally speaking after his years of silence.  

"Well, It's hard. It's a huge pressure to be one of them but I enjoyed being with them. Especially when Nia, Lukas and Harold came into the picture. It was a lot happier. We got to share the same scars and wounds from different battles. We also got to throw each other our damned shits in life and we have built a family out of those. It was precious." Cashiella said sighing as she finish her whole monotone speech.
