Chapter Thirty Nine: In Pursuit

Antropos' POV

"So how are you are saying we do this?" Clothos asked rubbing both of her palms together in front of her chest. She stared at the girl as if she's a freakin specimen to disect.

"Here's the plan."

Walang ni isa saaming magkakapatid ang nagtangkang magsalita as she narrate her absurb plan.

"So? Can you do it?" She asked with hopeful eyes but none of us dared to answer her.

"That's a huge work." Lachesis finally muttered na ikinatango naman naming dalawa ni Clothos. That is indeed a huge work for all of us. Not to mention na nakakadrain din ng enerhiya ang pinapagawa nya saamin.

"But possible?"

"Yeah it is." Mahinang sagot ko bago tinitigan si Lachesis at Clothos. Hindi lang ako ang magdedesisyon ng bagay na toh. You see, the work we do, we do it together. Kapag wala ang isa, hindi kumpleto ang gawa ng dalawa pang iba. Mas lalo na kung mag-isa lang.

A wicked smile suddenly creeped on Clothos' lips making me roll my eyes heavenwards.

"What about you Lach?" Tanong ko kay Lachesis na sinagot lang inya ng isang simpleng kibit-balikat.

"Yes! This would be so fun!" Clothos cheered na ikinairap naman ngayon ni Lach. Clothos is always like this. Gustong-gusto ng challenge.

Maybe because she's the youngest among the three of us kaya ganun.

"I should start spinning your life thread again then." She then announced before picking up the side of her floor lenght dress' skirt, walking her way to her workshop.

"You really owe us this one missy." Tanging sabi ko na lang bago sinundan si Clothos sa work room naming tatlo.

Nadatnan ko syang pumipili ng thread among her collection of life threads that are perfectly organized on the wall.

Mayroon kasing iba't-ibang klase ng life threads. Every single one of them differ in size, texture and even color. May life thread na manipis lang, meron din namang makapal.

Life threads also differ on the dullness and brightness of it's color. The only similarity of every life thread is it's goldness. Every single one of them are in gold and are luminous but then again hindi sila pare-parehas ng kinang.

Maybe you already have a clue kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng pagkakaiba-iba ng kinang nila.

Some people are just meant to have a bright life and some are just meant to have a dull or even dark life after birth.

"So what thread are you planning on choosing for her?"

"The thickest and brightest among all the threads I own. This girl, she's kind, strong, and a stubborn one if I may add. I personally think na kailangan nya yung pinakamatibay sa lahat. She has so much to protect. Ilang beses din syang nalagay sa kapahamakan kaya siguro naputol ang thread na una kong napili para sakanya kahit pa ba it's also one of the strongest thread among all the life threads here."
