Chapter Seventy Four: Her plan

"Hey Hel!" Pinigilan kong mapalingon ng marinig kong tawagin of what the voice seemed to be Kairo, ang pangalan ni Helios. They are behind me but are in the same room kaya hindi ko maiwasang kabahan dahil alam kong tutol sya sa planong isisiwalat ko ngayon sa iba pa naming kaibigan. They conversed with each other on a muffled voice kaya hindi ko gaanong naririnig ang pinaguusapan nila.

I sighed before finally taking up all the courage in me to face them. Saktong pagharap ko ay ang pagbukas muli ng pinto kaya nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataon na iwasan ang nakakapasong tingin saakin ni Helios.

Fritzale and Lynia were the first ones who entered the conference room after Helios and Kairo. Kasunod nila ang iba pa hanggang sa tuluyang makumpleto ang grupo. Dahil galing sa iba't-ibang realms ay hindi pare-pareho ang tema ng mga damit namin, but we all have one thing in common.

Walang mababakas na kahit anong emosyon sa mukha naming lahat maybe because kahit kami pa lang ni Helios at Lukas ang nakakalaam ng kung ano mang sasabihin ko sakanila ngayon, they all can feel the heavy atmosphere surrounding the whole room.

After letting out a heavy sigh, I waved my hand summoning the hologram.

Hindi ko alam kung anong dapat kong maramdaman habang hinihintay kong maintindihan nila ang planong nakalatag sa harap nila. I've changed nothing from the plan kaya alam kong makukuha ko mula sa ilan sakanila ang reaksyong nakuha ko mula kina Lukas at Helios.

I shut my eyes tightly when Fritzale slammed her fist on the hard surface of the table.

"What the hell are you thinking again Ireneia?" She furiously exclaimed bago padabog na naupo ulit sa pwesto nya.

"Fritzale's right Nia. This~this plan of yours is a suicide mission." Segunda naman ni Lindsay.

"Here we go again with your heroic act Ireneia Xyke. When will you finally realize that this kingdom doesn't need a hero! Do you know why they are called Heroes?? Because they fucking died Nia! They died and we don't want that to happen to you!" Muling sermon ni Fritzale while shooting me dagger looks.

"There is no other choice~" I was about to continue speaking ng biglang sumingit si Helios sa usapan. And by the sound of his voice alone, we really can tell that he's not happy about what I'm about what I said and what I am ought to say.

"There is and I will prove it." Nalipat ang tingin ng lahat sakanya but none of us really dated to question his statement. Helios just kept his gaze down until he finally lifted his eyes and met mine.

"So for now, do nothing and let me handle this." After saying those words, he stood up and left the room. Copper and the other guys followed him out while the girls made their way towards me.

"Listen to him Nia. Hindi lahat ng bagay kailangan mong gawin mag-isa. Nandito kami and we're all pretty capable. Risking your life again won't help us stop the war. What if something goes wrong? We can't afford to lose you in this war Nia. Don't be selfish." I let out a deep sigh at Cashiella's remarks bago naglakas loob na tignan silang lahat.

"I'm sorry I just don't know what to do anymore. I want to end this~"

"We all want this war to end but we don't need to be selfish along the way. Nandito kami Nia wag mo naman sanang kalimutan yun. We swore an oath that we would be together in every battle. Laban ng isa laban ng lahat! This is our home too. Let us fight for what we believe is ours." I stared at Lynia and finally broke into pool of tears. Siguro nga naging makasarili talaga ako. Hindi ko inisip na may mga taong nandyan na handang tulungan ako sa bawat laban na kahaharapin ko.

Maybe this is the perfect time to admit that I'm really not that strong. In fact, I'm wavering. I maybe strong outside but deep inside I'm already cowering in fear. Natatakot akong mawalan ng mahal sa buhay. Natatakot akong matalo sa laban na kahaharapin ko. I'm afraid to lose them so I resulted to a plan that would possibly make me leave them first.

But it shouldn't be like that.

After all the drama, we all decided to call it a day and went back to our cabins. Pero dahil alam kong hindi lang naman ako makakatulog ng may gumugulo sa isipan ko, I decided to go to Helios' cabin instead in hope that he would be there so we can talk.

Hindi naman ako nagkamali dahil nandun nga sya together with the guys. Sa sobrang pagiging abala nila sa ginagawa nilang pagpaplano ni hindi man lang nila nahalatang nakasandal na ako sa hamba ng pintuan at nanunuod sakanila. I would love to take a photo of them being this immersed to a task but I know this is not a good time for a photo opt. I cleared my throat to get their attention which was not as effective as I expected it to be so I had to do it three times before they finally noticed me.

Siguro ay naramdaman naman nila ang gusto kong mangyari kaya isa-isa silang naglakad papunta saakin, since I am standing in the door way, para makalabas ng cabin ni Helios. When there's finally only the two of us left in the room, I shut the door close and walked towards him.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

"For what?" There goes Helios Zapanta when I first met him.

"For being selfish."

"Glad you're aware." He leaned on his desk before placing the stack of paper he was holding on top of it. After doing so he gestured me to come to him and so I did. I stood in front of him like a little kid that is about to be scolded by her parent, but instead of scolding he engulfed me into a bone crashing hug.

"Tell me who helped you with that plan."

"What are going to do to him?"

"Oh it's a him! Well I'm going to make him help me too because I have to admit that map was cool. But that's after I tickle him with my thunder bolts." He coldly said contradicting the semi-threat he prepared for the poor guy.

"Who tickles someone using a thunderbolt?" I asked in return which he just answered with a dismissing shrug. I smacked his arms playfully before wrapping my arms around him and resting the side of my face in his chest.

"I want you alive Nia. And I would do anything just to keep you that way."
