Lilly’s POV

“I’ll arrive there around nine in the morning,” I told my sister through Skype. She was with her boyfriend Joe.

“Okay. We’ll be there to pick you up. How exactly are you going to announce your arrival? Are you going to do what I did and have one of them find you at a pizzeria?” She laughed.

“I don’t know yet. It doesn’t matter how exactly. Plus, the only ones who will probably be affected by my sudden move are Alfie and Caspar, maybe,” I shrugged.

“Believe me, Caspar will be really affected. You’re all he thinks about,” Joe told me.

“Really?” I felt my heart skip a beat.

“Definitely. Even if he doesn’t say anything, I can see it in his face. He’s whipped,” Joe smiled at me, giving me a wink.

“I still can’t believe you like Caspar,” my sister said. “Not that there’s anything wrong with him, he’s great, but you never really showed interest in a guy. I was starting to think you were playing for the other team.”

I laughed. “Believe me, it’s a shock to me too. Anyways, I still need to pass by and say bye to Mom and Dad. I’ll see you tomorrow Ate (older sister).”

            “Okay, bye Lilly.”

“Bye Lilly,” Joe said, giving me a slight wave.

Smiling, I ended the call and packed up my laptop, putting it inside my travel bag. Picking it up, I took a final look around my room, which was now empty except for the internet router, which the company would be taking out tomorrow. My parents said they would take care of it for me.

I grabbed my two suitcases, travel bag, and purse. Making sure I had all my essentials, I walked out of the door, locking it behind me for the final time.

“I wonder what’s so special about London that both you and your sister seem to be attracted to. We moved there, back here, just for you two to move back,” my dad shook his head, laughing. We had the same cloudy grey eyes, and according to my mom, the same dark brown hair.

“Well when I find out I’ll tell you,” I said, walking over to him before giving him a hug.

“Anak (child), be good there okay? Call us sometimes. Do that video chatting thing you and your sister does sometimes. I’m sure your dad knows how to work the computer,” my mom told me.

“Let’s hope I remember or else we won’t be seeing them for a while,” my dad laughed.

“Are you going to stay for dinner?” my mom asked.

“Umm, no. Stephanie is going to pick me up here in a few minutes.”

“Okay. Be careful when you’re there. Tell your Ate to be good too, okay?” my mom told me.

“Yes mom, we’ll be good,” I told her, before giving her a hug.

There was a honk outside, and I knew it was Stephanie.

“Well Mom, Dad, I’m going now,” I said, picking up my bags again and moving towards the front door.

They both came towards me, giving me one last hug before I stepped out of their door, closing it behind me. I walked down the front steps, lugging my bags behind me.

Stephanie propped the trunk open and I put the two suitcases in along with my travel bag, keeping my purse with me.

I hopped into the passenger seat.

“You ready?” she asked me. She was wearing a loose purple long sleeve and white shorts.

Sighing, I nodded. “Yeah, I’m ready.” And she drove towards the airport.

About half an hour later, we arrived at the airport. We still had enough time before I was suppose to board my plane, so we bought some coffee from the Starbucks that was inside the airport.

“You know, it’s going to be so different without you around,” Stephanie stated. “No one is going to analyze my art work for me when I need an opinion.”

“Don’t worry about it. I can still do that over Skype,” we both laughed. It was almost midnight here, and both of us we’re obviously exhausted.

“I need to tell you something Lilly,” Stephanie put down her coffee.

            “Yeah?”

“Don’t let your infatuation for him get in the way of your art. He may be your inspiration now, but what about in a few months? Sometimes emotional bonds hold us back when what we need to do is move forward.”

I took a moment to process her words, letting it sink in. I was offended, but also the same time I wanted to hug her, my best friend. She was always looking out for me, but I didn’t like that she was doubting my self control. But another side of me was saying that this was exactly what she meant.

“I won’t,” I smiled at her. “Art is my life. I’ve always looked ahead of me. You know that better than anyone.”

“I know. I’m just reminding you.” She replied as the intercom called for my flight.

“Keep your computer open. I’ll call you once I get settled in,” I got up and hugged her. We both threw away our empty coffee cups.

I waved good-bye to Stephanie and entered the boarding gate, entering the door that would lead me to my new vision of inspiration.
