Caspar’s POV

“Hey, Caspar?” I heard Joe call from upstairs.

            “Yeah?”

“I’m going to Eva’s for a bit. I’ll be back later. Or not.”

“Whatever,” I replied as I heard the front door close shut.

I was in my room, editing a video. I was almost finished, just cutting some of the ending scenes.

The video was meant to go up tomorrow, but since it looked like I would finish early, I would probably just upload it tonight. Knowing that my viewers, I tweeted it out.

I put my phone down and continued to edit. After about ten minutes, I finished it, and started to upload it to YouTube.

Video should be up in about ten minutes. I tweeted out, mentally patting myself on the back for having a pretty successful day.

Having nothing else to do, I decided to go for a walk. The weather was nice outside, so I wore light clothing.

Grabbing my keys, earphones and phone, and some cash, I left my flat and walked down the street.

I wasn’t sure where I was going, but I continued to walk, letting my mind wander. Everywhere I looked people were smiling and I don’t know why it made me feel so sad. I don’t understand why I was starting to feel so down when this whole day was relaxing and happy.

Sighing, I walked up to a man with an ice cream cart.

“Can I have vanilla drumstick please?” I asked the man.

“Gotcha,” he responded, pulling one out and handing it to me. I paid him and turned around, walking slowly back home.

I ate my ice cream, trying to find a way to lift myself up. I still don’t understand why my mood suddenly dropped, but at least my ice cream was there for me.

The next morning, around ten am, Joe arrived back at the flat.

“Hey man. Want some breakfast?” He asked me, carrying a plastic bag filled with to-go boxes.

“Yeah. What are they?” I asked him. I was on the couch watching the news.

“I got some waffles and sausage in here.”

“Great,” I got up and headed to the table. Joe handed me a box and I opened it. Inside were two waffles, one sausage, and two small plastic containers. One carried butter and the other one with syrup.

Taking a plastic fork, I dug in, the food still warm.

“So,” I said, my mouth still filled with food. “What’d you do at Eva’s?”

Joe’s eyebrows creased together, making his face look serious. But opposing that, his lips twitched, and I knew he was about to lie to me.

“We just uhh, hung out. Did some boyfriend-girlfriend things. I helped her with some stuff,” Joe shrugged, opening his own box and taking a bite of his sausage.

“Uh huh… so, what did you really do there?” I pushed. Joe never lies to me, not unless he’s hiding something.

“Ugh, okay. I did help her with something, but I can’t tell you with what yet. I can’t tell anybody. But I promise it isn’t a bad thing.”

“If you say so,” I continued to eat, knowing that if Joe didn’t want to tell me something, he wouldn’t.

“Hey man, don’t be mad okay? I promise it’s a good thing. Eva just can’t have everyone knowing right now”

            “I know I know,” I laughed. “I’m just a curious cat.”

“Yeah you are,” Joe smiled and we continued to eat breakfast.

I know this chapter is short, but the following ones won't be as short. Maybe one more short chapter, idk. But now comes the move. Please give feedback. Thanks for everything guys x
