Caspar’s POV

“Are you going off on another secret mission with Eva?” I asked when Joe knocked on my door, saying that he was going out.

“You can say that,” I heard him laugh, my head under my pillow.

“It’s like, 8:30 in the morning, is it that important?”

“Believe me, when you find out what it is, you’ll see how important it is,” he said before closing my door slowly.

I slept some more, waiting until the sun crept through the slits of my curtain, brightening the room uncomfortably.

I got out of bed and took a shower before I went upstairs to eat some food. Rummaging around the kitchen, I saw Joe’s phone on the counter.

“He’s so forgetful,” I muttered under my breath. I decided that after I have something to eat, I would bring to him.

Hopefully, he was at Eva’s and whatever their secret was wouldn’t be revealed  early at my arrival.

I knocked on Eva’s door. Inside I heard shuffling and muffled voices, so I knew they were here.

Eva opened the door. “Hey Caspar.”

“Hey, I didn’t mean to bother. Joe left his phone,” I said, handing her his phone and she took it.

“Oh, thanks,” she said, her face nervous.

“Are you okay, Eva?” I asked her. She was acting like Joe, and I started to feel as if this “secret” wasn’t so good like Joe was trying to assure me.

“Yeah, everything is-“ she sighed. “Come in, Caspar,” she said as she opened the door wider for me. I walked in and she closed the door, locking it.

She led me to her living room, where I saw Joe there, suppressing a smile. He was leaning on the wall by the entrance of the kitchen.

The telly  was on, the first episode of the third season of Sherlock playing on it. On the couch, there was a girl sitting on it, her back to me. She had long, dark brown hair, and even though I couldn’t see her face, I knew who it was.

“Lilly?” I choked out. She turned around and smiled, before getting up.

            “Hi Caspar,” she replied.

“I-I thought you said you wouldn’t be visiting here anytime soon?” I asked, confused.

She walked towards me. “I’m not visiting.”

            “Then why are you here?”

“Caspar, I’m moving in with my sister,” her smile grew. “I’m here to stay.”

“You and Eva really are sisters,” I said, shaking my head before putting it between my knees. We were seated in Eva’s living room, and Lilly was explaining to me why she came here.

“What do you mean?” Lilly asked. She sat next to me, and out knees was touching, sending small bolts of electricity through my body.

“I mean, you both came here without telling anybody.”

“I told her. And I told her she could tell Joe,” she said. I looked up at her, keeping my head down.

“I understand you telling her, but why could Joe know and not me?”

She bit her lip, bringing more color into its pinkness. “I didn’t want to hide it. I actually really wanted to tell you, but I wanted to surprise you. The others, I’m not that close with, except for Alfie. Who will probably be pissed that I didn’t tell him I was moving her,” she laughed.

“You think I’m not pissed?” I asked her, and though inside I was hurt she didn’t tell me, I couldn’t be mad at her.

“No, I don’t think you’re pissed,” she smiled at me and put a hand on my shoulder.

“Well, what about we help Lilly get settled in?” Eva asked, clapping her hands together. We all got up and Lilly grabbed her two suitcases, which I then took from her. I smiled at her, and she smiled back.

“So, Joe and I fixed your room. And you also have your own bathroom. There’s a bed and a dresser in the room, and a good sized closet,” Eva told her sister, leading her up the stairs. “And this is your first official time here, wow. I thought you’d be here for a weekend when you first came, but you’re here to stay,” Eva laughed.

            “Thank Ate,” Lilly responded.

We got to Lilly’s room, which was right across from Eva’s. Inside there was a queen sized bed with lilac sheets and white pillows. Besides the door was her dresser, which was white with gold rims and a circular mirror. Across the room was a window with white, see through curtains. Next to her bed was a sliding door to her closet, which was filled with multi-colored hangers.

“Here’s your room. The door right here,” Eva motioned to the one that was on the adjacent wall to the room’s entrance- “is your bathroom. It also has another door outside, for guest to use. Sorry about that,” Eva rubbed the back of her neck.

“It’s okay. It’s fine with me.”

“Yeah, so there are some extra covers and- ahh,” Eva squinted her eyes in pain and kneeled down slightly.

“Ate, what’s wrong?” Lilly asked and moved forward, but Joe’s arm was already supporting her.

“Nothing, it’s just my leg. My muscles still hurt from the bullet,” she limped to Lilly’s bed and took a seat.

The insides of me started to turn. The incident a few months ago was still a heavy burden for us all, but Eva was the only one who got physically hurt, and now her right calf muscles were damaged. Thank God that it wasn’t severe.

“Do you need anything? I think I have some aspirin in my bag,” Lilly started to rummage through her purse.

“No,” Eva shook her head, raising her hand to stop her sister from looking. “I’m okay,” Eva leaned down and pulled her joggers up, revealing a bandage wrapped around her leg.

The bandage was stained reddish brown.

            “Ate! You’re bleeding!”

“No, no, I’m not. It’s the medicine I’m supposed to put over it. Really, I’m okay Lilly. Don’t worry about it.”

“She’s fine Lilly. I’ve been taking care of her,” Joe sat down next to his girlfriend and put an arm around her.

“You better be Sugg. Because if I find out that she was harmed on your watch…” Lilly pointed at Joe before dragging her thumb across her neck.

Joe laughed. “Yeah, yeah I know.”

“Well, c’mon guys, let’s help Lilly get ready,” I said, placing her bags on the floor before she grabbed them and unzipping them.

Hey guys! So in the next chapter, it's going to start in Lilly's POV before Caspar reaches Eva's apartment, then it'll go back to the present time. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Thanks x
