This chapter is dedicated to kellyh512 for literally making my day. She's been a supporter since Across the Pond and it just made me so happy when she commented on my A/N requesting me to continue this story. So because of her, no matter what, I will finish this story :)

Lilly’s POV

My stuff arrived sooner than expected. It came two days later from when Kyle asked me to make a painting for him, which was a Thursday. Now it was Saturday, and my sister didn’t have work so she helped me unpack.

“First things first, my vinyls,” I told her, grabbing the box that had “MUSIC” largely written on the side and put it on top of my bed.

“Where’s your record player?” Ate asked me.

“It’s in the green box,” I told her. She walked into the hallway and came back in with a semi-large green box with the word “FRAGILE” written on it.

“Gosh, this is heavy,” she said, placing it on my bed.

I opened the box and carefully unwrapped each of my vinyls. There was a variety of artists in this box. There was some Arctic Monkeys, some P!ATD, some Lana Del Rey, and others. My music taste constantly changed, but the quality of it didn’t have to.

“It’d be so much easier if you had CDs,” Ate told me.

“They don’t sound as good as records. Plus, these are prettier, don’t you think?” I held up one of the large discs. This particular one so happened to be Pierce the Veil’s, and it was a teal color with purple ink all around it, making it look like splatter paint.

“That’s true, and they really are,” my sister agreed. She unpacked my recorder player and set it on the bed.

“Wait, I don’t have a place to put the record player,” I suddenly realized.

“You’re right. And I don’t have an extra stand or anything,” my sister sighed, placing her hands on her hips.

            “I’ll just go buy one.”

“I guess, but you can’t right now since we don’t have a car and everyone else is busy.”

“Why haven’t you gotten a car here yet anyways?” I asked, taking a seat on my bed.

“I never got around to it, and I never had the use. Joe always took me places since he was practically always with me. When he can’t, Zoe usually could bring me.

“Then the whole Cassie situation happened and Joe was by my side 24/7. So I really never felt the need to get one.”

I nodded. “But I guess since I’m here now, we need to get one huh?”

“Yeah. We can go look for one next week, if you’re not busy.”

“I’ll probably be working on the painting, but I could spare a few hours,” I smiled at my sister.

            “That reminds me, Kyle…”

“What about him?” I asked, weary.

“Just be careful around him okay? You don’t know who he is.”

Suddenly, I went defensive. I felt offended. I was old enough to take care of myself and understand to be cautious around strangers.
