Caspar's POV

"Caspar! Get up already!" I heard Joe yell, shaking me awake. Groaning, I pulled the covers tighter around me, not wanting to get up yet.

"Go away Joe," I told him.

"We're supposed to go to Eva's and Lilly's remember? Everyone is going there for a catch up dinner."

"It's dinner, why are you waking me up so early?"

"Caspar, it's already 5:30 in the afternoon! You've been asleep the whole day! What is wrong with you?"

Hearing this, I shot up. The suddenness left me slightly dizzy, but as it past, I realized that sunlight in my room was dim.

"What? I went to sleep at one in the morning. Why did sleep this long?" MY mind was trying to retrace my steps. I definitely did go to sleep around one in the morning, so why was I asleep for so long?

"Not a clue, but get up and get ready already," Joe said before leaving my room. Before he shut the door, he said, "We're going to leave in forty-five minutes."

I got out of bed and walked into my bathroom. I stared at myself in the mirror. My eyes were puffy and red, my hair a messy pile on my head.

"What the hell happened?" I asked myself. I didn't drink last night; yesterday wasn't too tiring; I just don't understand.

Shaking my head, I turned on the tap, splashing cold water onto my face to wake myself up more. I brushed my teeth and gave myself one last examination before returning to my room to change.

I stripped from my pajamas and opened my cabinet. I took a grey t-shirt off one of the hangers and slipped it over my head. I grabbed a pair of black jeans and put them on.

I sat at the edge of my bed, pulling on some socks. Before I could reach my boots, I leaned myself forward, putting my head between my knees.

"What the hell is happening?" I asked myself again. I don't have a headache, and I don't feel ill, but I feel off.

"Caspar? You okay in there?" Joe asked through the door.

"Yeah man. I'll be out in a minute."

I heard Joe shuffle away from my door and up the stairs. Sighing, I grabbed my shoes, put it on, and left my room.

"So are you sure you're okay?" Joe asked me as we were driving to Lilly's and Eva's.

"Dude, I don't even know. Let's just hope this doesn't ruin our dinner," I responded, leaning my head against the window.

We arrived at Lilly's and Eva's flat a few minutes later. Joe knocked on the door and Eva opened it.

"Hey guys!" She greeted us. She gave Joe a kiss and went over to hug me.

"You okay Caspar?" She asked.

"Yeah, I just woke up though," I tried laughing.

She smiled at me, her brown eyes kind and warming.

"Well, come on in guys. Marcus and Niomi are here now."

"Who else is coming?" I asked.

"Alfie and Zoe of course. Jim and Tanya are coming too. And I think that's it."
