Lilly's POV

I walked up to Alfie's and Zoe's door. I had to admit, I was very nervous. Hopefully, everything would be okay.

I gave one last sigh before knocking on the door. After a few moments, the door opened and Zoe stood in front of me.

"Oh, hi! Lilly! I didn't know you were here."

"Hi Zoe, it's so nice to see you. And yeah, I live here now."

Zoe's eyes went wide. "Wow! Really? Eva didn't mention it."

I gave her a slight smile. "Yeah, I asked her not to mention it to anyone."

Zoe nodded. "Okay. Well, come in. Alfie is inside."

I walked into their home, my hands in my pockets. I counted silently in my head, trying to keep myself in check.

"Alfie! Someone is here to see you!" Zoe yelled before turning to me. "You know, I'm really glad you both are friends. It makes me really happy seeing you guys together." She smiled.

"Thank you, Zoe. It means a lot. And you and Alfie are so wonderful together. He told me how happy you make him."

Zoe blushed, and I heard footsteps enter the living room.

Alfie wore a black t-shirt and basketball shorts. It was obvious he wasn't expecting anybody.

"L-Lilly?" he choked out.

"Hi Alfie," I smiled at him.

"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?" he walked over to me and gave me a long, tight hug. "Eva didn't say you'd be visiting."

I pulled back from him. "I'm not visiting."

He looked at me weirdly, before looking at Zoe, who just smiled, then back at me. "What do you mean?"

"I live with my sister now. I'm here to stay."

"What? That's amazing! But why didn't Eva tell me?"

"I asked her not to tell anyone. Except Joe, because well, I don't think she could keep it to him anyways." I clasped my hands together, rubbing it to help release the tension that radiated through my body.

"Why? Or at least, why not me?" Alfie asked. He looked sad, but not that much.

"It's difficult to explain, but believe me that it was all with good intentions," I smiled at him. I could feel tears stinging my eyes, but I bit them back.

"Awwh, I don't care. I'm so glad you're here," he said, hugging me again before pulling back. "Zoe, get in here."

Zoe joined in, and we all embraced. We broke apart, and Alfie motioned for me to take a seat.

"So, why did you choose to come live back here?" Zoe asked,

I place my purse on my lap, putting my hands on top of it. "No more inspiration in America. I thought I'd come here to help bring more creativeness out of me."

"Well, if there's anything we can do to help, don't hesitate to ask," Alfie said. He sat next to Zoe, who was smiling this whole time.

"Lilly, when you find your inspiration, make me something okay?" Zoe asked.

"Of course. If you have something in mind, I can actually do that once my stuff comes in."

"Well, I know it's really cliché, but I want a portrait of me and Alfie," she blushed.

"Aww, I'd love to make you guys one. My stuff should be coming in a few days. I'll make it then," I told them, giving them a huge smile. I can't wait to start working again.

"Anyways, guys," I said, standing up. "I have to go now. Let's actually catch up soon."

"Yes, of course. Visit anytime, Lilly," Zoe said, standing up and giving me a huge hug.

"We'll have a dinner and invite everyone. I'm so glad you're back," Alfie hugged me too. We all said good-bye and I left.

That night my sister and I ate dinner together. I told her about my visit to Alfie's and Zoe's.

"I'm glad he wasn't upset," Ate told me, scooping a spoonful of white rice into her mouth.

"Me too. I wish we had more time to talk, but I'm still so tired and am probably just going to rest for a few days. Oh, and Zoe asked me to make a portrait of her and Alfie."

"Really? That sounds amazing. You'll do a great job, I know it," my sister smiled.

"Yeah, anyways, I'm done. Are you? I'll do the dishes," I offered, walking around the counter and to the sink, turning on the tap to rinse off my plate.

"No, it's okay. I got it. Just get some rest."

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah, just go to bed. I'll take care of this," she waved me off.

"Thanks, Ate," I gave her a quick hug before running upstairs and changing into pajamas.

I climbed into bed and let my hair fall out. I examined it. My hair was a dark brown, but it was still lighter than my sister's. Her hair was almost black.

I thought about my sister, and how she is always there when I needed her, and not once has she complained to me. Especially with this sudden move of mine. She was logical where I was emotional, using my gut instead of my mind.

Someday I would repay her for everything, but right now, I had to build myself an image here.

Hey guys! This was mostly a filler chapter, so that's why it's so short, but I'll be writing more so hopefully it could make up for it :)
