Caspar’s POV

In no way shape or form did I condone what Lilly was going to do. But I couldn’t let her go alone, especially if it’s true this Jordan person is Kyle.

I was worried. Very worried. There was a resting bomb in my chest, ready to explode when the time comes.

I walked through the front door of the flat and saw that Joe was stil up, playing another horror game.

“Piss off you twat,” I heard him say before screaming and pausing the game. “Oh my gosh, that was horrible.”

I laughed. “You’re going to give yourself a heart attack.”

Joe flinched. “Shit,” he said, turning around and looking at me. “What the hell Caspar? You scared the bloody hell out of me.”

“I’m sorry,” I said, walking into the kitchen and getting a glass of water to drink.

“Hey man, are you okay?” Joe asked me.

I looked at him, and decided that it was best for me to tell him. “You promise you won’t tell Eva? Or at least, not just yet.”

Joe looked concern and got off the couch and walked towards the kitchen. “That depends. What happened?”

“I won’t tell you unless you promise me you won’t say anything to her yet.”

            “Fine.”

“So you know how Lilly has gotten her first client for her artwork here right?”

“Yes. The, I quote ‘really hot guy’? You’re not jealous are you Caspar?” he laughed.

“Joe, stop. This is serious.  This guy, Kyle, is Jordan. Or that’s what Eva and I believe, and that’s also what Lilly believes now.”

Joe’s eyes went wide and leaned a bit down. “Caspar, you’re being serious right? Because if this is a joke…”

“Joe, I wouldn’t be joking about something like this!”

“Okay, okay,” Joe said, making motions with his hands for me to settle down. “This isn’t good.”

“I know. But that’s not why I had to tell you.”

            “Then why?”

I released a deep sigh. “Lilly is going to go see him again tomorrow, and I’m coming with her. She wants me to come with her.”

“Caspar! No! Don’t let her go anymore.”

“She’s going whether or not I’m going with her. So I have to be with her. Make sure she’s safe.”

            “Caspar-“

“Joe, look. I just need you to promise me to not tell Eva until Lilly and I leave tomorrow. Because Eva will try to stop her and Lilly will be angry at me. Here,” I took out a pen and grabbed a napkin. “This is the park we’re going to meet them at. If I don’t call you by six thirty in the afternoon, come get us, and bring Eva. Okay?”

Joe took the napkin. “I don’t like this Caspar.”

“I don’t either. But if it will give Lilly a peace of mind, I’m going to go with her.”
