*small time skip to end of meal*
"You didn't have to buy dinner, but thank you." Aizawa said as you both finished clearing the table.
You shook your head, "It's the least I can do since you're letting me stay here and everything."
"You wouldn't need to stay here if it weren't for me." Aizawa pointed out.
"While that may be true, it's not so bad. There are definitely worse people to be stuck to." You joked, elbowing him lightly.
With your stomach finally full to your heart's content, you found yourself yawning. Aizawa glanced at the clock on the wall, 9:03pm, he should be patrolling right now. But honestly that was the last thing Aizawa wanted to do in that moment. Luckily, he had been granted a temporary leave from hero work while the quirk was still active.
"Come on, we should get some rest." Aizawa suggested.
After brushing your teeth-Aizawa had an extra tooth brush- you followed Aizawa to his room. It was a stark difference from the rest of the apartment. In the far left corner of the room was a large queen sized bed with a vibrant yellow quilt. The wall across from it is covered in photos and letters.
"I'll sleep on the side against the wall." Aizawa said flipping on the small lamp beside the bed before shutting off the overhead light.
"Okay." You said quietly, trying to ignore the nervous feeling that was growing.
Aizawa only glanced at you for a moment before crawling under the quilt and sliding halfway over, "I can only move over so far without you getting in."
You slid under the covers and a happy sigh escaped your lips as you settled into the warm cotton sheets.
"Did you say something?" Aizawa asked, propped up on his left arm as he laid facing you.
"No sorry, I just sighed. Your bed is way comfier than mine back home. I have to admit though, I wasn't expecting the quilt." You smiled sleepily.
Aizawa sighed, "It was a gift from Mic. There's a matching sleeping bag too, but that's in the classroom."
"What about the wall?" You asked, finding it increasingly difficult to keep your eyes open.
"They're gifts too. They're from people I've helped during my time as a pro." He explained looking at the wall behind you.
"You're a surprisingly sentimental guy, has anyone ever told you that?" You asked before turning your face into the pillow.
"Mic, but I think that's about it." Aizawa said after thinking for a moment.
"He's a perceptive man then." You joked.
Aizawa scoffed, "Don't let him hear you say that, it'll go straight to his hair."
You laughed, "I think you meant it'll go to his head."
"You've obviously never seen that man's hair then if you're saying that." Aizawa yawned before plopping onto his back beside you, "You should turn off the light." You made a noise in disagreement, too tired for words.
"Either you turn off the light, or I'm going to, and I'm pretty sure you won't want that."
"You couldn't even pay me to move right now." You snorted as you snuggled in closer to the pillow for emphasis.
"Very well then." Aizawa sighed. The tone of his voice warned you a second too late. With exaggerated indifference, he leaned over you, putting all his weight on your waist and shoulder.
"Ack, you're crushing me!" You shouted before throwing a halfhearted punch at the offending abdomen.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, I'm just turning off the light." He said sarcastically.
*click*
The room went pitch black and you became acutely aware of the broad shirtless man still leaning over you. You coughed awkwardly, "Feel free to stop crushing the asthmatic anytime now."
He immediately moved back to his side of the bed, "Good night Ms. Y/N."
"Sweet dreams, Mr. Aizawa."
