Soulmate AU: Part 51 ⚠️

"Ms. Asui, Tokoyami, is there any particular reason as to why the two of you are following me?" Aizawa asked, coming to sudden halt to face them.

"Kero? But I'm not sir," Tsu raised her phone up into view, "my parents got tied up at work, so they called and asked me to pick my little sister up from her daycare for them."

"And I agreed to accompany Asui since we decided it was best as a class to use the buddy system if possible when taking leave from the campus." Tokoyami added.

"Let me guess, she's at X Daycare?"

"How'd you know you that sir?" She asked.

Aizawa sighed, "I didn't, that's just where I'm heading. It would be my luck that the two of you were heading to the same place."

Aizawa phone buzzed in his pocket. He scowled at the number on the screen before answering it, "Who is this?"

"Mr. Eraserhead, sir!" A familiar male voice hyperventilated on the other side of the phone, "It's Ryan —the delivery guy from X Pizzaeria! Look, okay — I know I shouldn't be contacting you outside of my deliveries. —But this is an emergency sir! It's about that girl with H/C hair that was at your apartment the other night!"

"What are you talking about, what happened to Y/N?" Aizawa asked, gripping his phone tighter.

"Okay, so —I was going to pick up my sister's kids from this daycare that I guess Y/N works at and—"

"What happened to Y/N, Ryan?"

"When I got to the place, there were like these two men shoving her into the back of this silver car! They sped off before I could stop them. I managed to get some of the plate, it looked—" Aizawa ended the call suddenly and looked back to his students.

"Y/N has been abducted. Go to the daycare and make sure that the kids that are still there are okay." Aizawa ordered. The two students nodded with a tense 'Sir!' before taking off towards the daycare.

Aizawa stuffed his phone back into his pocket before he propelled himself forward through air using his capture weapon. His heart raced as he launched himself off rooftops towards the nearest police station.

*15 minutes earlier at X Daycare*

Sweeping up stray ash and luminescent flower petals, you had the few remaining children clean up the rest of the items that had been scattered about the back room. Dumping the debris into a nearby bin, you took a quick headcount of how many children still needed to be picked up.

Four kids left, you thought to yourself, There's just the Tanaka twins, Satsuki Asui, and Benjin.

You heard the front door chime as someone entered the front lobby. Setting the broom and dustpan aside, you told the kids you'd be back in just a moment.

Walking up to the front, you heard the child sniffling before you saw them. A bright blue bow shook atop the child's head as she cried, it was Hana.

"Hana, what are you doing back here so late by yourself?" You asked as you calmly knelt down in front of her, "Where are your parents?"

At the mention of her parents, Hana's sniffling erupted into heaving sobs. The child buried her face into the crook of your shoulder.

"Oh sweetie, it's going to be alright. I'm right here," you held the child close, slowly rubbing her back in an attempt to calm her down, "can you tell me what happened?"

"T-they took them!" Hana cried, "they took my mommies!"

A sickening wave of dread washed over you as you continued to comfort her, "they took them?"

Hana nodded frantically before jerking back to look at you. Her red rimmed eyes bore into you as her tearstained face scrunched up into an accusing scowl. 

"I-It's because of you!" She yelled in a trembling voice, "The bad men took my mommies because they knew you!"

"What?" You froze still holding the child.

"They said you would do what they wanted if I went and told you what they did." Hana's voice slipped into a pleading tone,  "They said they'd give me back my mommies if you followed their instructions. You'll do what they want, right Ms. L/N? Please help me get my mommies back!"

Tears spilled down Hana's reddened cheeks.

Swallowing bile that burned the back of your throat, you wiped the tears from her face and said, "Of course I'm going to help you get your mommies back, Hana. Did the people come here with you?"

Hana glanced at the front before nodding hesitantly. She stepped back to pull a folded piece of paper from her pocket. She unfolded it with shaking hands and held it out to you, "They wrote the stuff down because I couldn't —I couldn't remember all the stuff they wanted me to tell you to do. I-I think I made them mad, Ms. L/N. I-I didn't mean to! I was just —I was so scared Ms. L/N , I couldn't think right."

"Oh sweetheart, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. You have been so, so brave." You said with a tense smile, "braver than I could ever ask you to be."

Once Hana calmed down enough, you guided her into the back room where the other children were playing —blissfully ignorant of the situation.

"You five stay right here for me, okay?" You said in a forced cheerful tone, "I need to go take care of something for a moment."

The children could tell something was wrong.

"You're gonna come back to play with us when you're done though, right?" Benjin asked with a toothy grin and soot still smeared on his face. The smile didn't quite reach his eyes.

You plastered a smile on your face and said, "You bet!"

You knew that was a lie and so did they.

"Watch after each other and don't let anyone that's not your parents or a hero into the daycare, okay?"

A broken chorus of 'okay's answered before you left the room, shutting the door behind you.

You leaned against the receptionist's desk and tried to keep the crumpled paper steady as you read.

Ms. F/N L/N,

I'm going to make this simple. The child has probably told you the jist of what is at stake. In order for her to get her parents back unharmed, you are going to come with us. There's someone that would like to meet you.

In order to ensured that women remain unharmed, you're going to do the following:

•don't tell anyone what's happened —this includes the police and pro heros

•you're going to leave your phone, keys, and bag at the daycare

•you will NOT use your quirk at anytime —doing so will result in the disfiguration of one of the women; Any attempt to act out will result in further harm to them.

We will be waiting on the side street that leads behind the building. Be outside before 6:45PM.

You looked at the time on your phone, it was 6:42PM.

Summary: Aizawa is walking to meet with y/n at the daycare. He notices Tsu and Tokoyami seemingly following him. Turns out Tsu's parents needed her to pick up her sister after something came up. Tokoyami was there because the students had elected to start using a buddy system anytime they go off campus. Aizawa gets a call from an unknown number. It's everyone's favorite delivery guy Ryan, he saw Y/N get snatched by bad guys in a silver sedan. Aizawa has the students go to the daycare to look after the children and he takes off towards the nearest police station.

Cuts scene to Y/N cleaning up for the day when the girl with the blue bow (Hana) comes in crying with a piece of paper. Explains guys are holding her moms captive. Said the moms would be released if Y/N went with them by 6:45, ends with her looking at the time and it shows 6:42.
