"Aizawa..." you wanted to to say something — anything— to let him know that it was going to be okay, but your words all seem to fall short. Everything that came to mind sounded like a hollow promise. You had no frame of reference for what Aizawa was talking about, so it didn't feel right to say that things would get better or that everything would be okay.
Aizawa ruffled his hair harshly before speaking again, "I know I'm in no position to ask you for any favors, but you can't tell anybody about any of this, Y/N. Nobody can find out —especially not Mic or anyone else from UA."
"Wait. You haven't gone to Mic about any of this? He doesn't know?" You asked surprised.
"I've known Mic for a long time, so he probably figured out some of it already on his own. But no, I haven't spoken to him about any of it like... this," he gestured between the two of you, "in a very long time."
"This is probably a dumb question and I know it's definitely none of my business, but why haven't you gone to him about any of this?"
"Talking won't change the situation so it's pointless, and it'll only make him worried. The idiot already has enough to deal with since he works three full time jobs, I can't give him anything else to stress over. —not to mention, any of what I just told you could be used against me should anyone want to revoke either of my work licenses. If I have to stop, I want it to be my decision."
You shifted on the bed to sit a littler closer to him as you spoke, "Talking about it wouldn't be pointless, it's healthy to vent about your issues. I might not be able to relate to a lot of what you've been through, but if you ever want someone to just listen, please don't hesitate to drop a line or even swing by my apartment. Also, Mic would probably be saying the exact same thing if he was a part of this conversation. —Actually no, he'd probably be able to give some kind of useful advice..." you said trailing off awkwardly.
Aizawa sat quietly for a moment before he sighed, "I don't get you, Y/N. I don't get why I'm so okay with talking to you about any of this. And I don't understand why you're still so willing to help me even after everything that happened last week."
A small crooked smile settled on your lips as you answered, "I think it's safe to say that we both made some pretty sizable mistakes last week, so we're pretty much even after everything's said and done. Not to mention, I also think I figured out the real reason for why you didn't erase the thread. If I'm right, it'll be kind of hard for me to stay really mad at you."
"While I'm not a fan of the whole shrink persona you're giving off right now, I'm curious what kind of conclusion you've come to."
"I might be totally off the mark with this, but I think you realized that you really needed last week. Wether it was a conscious decision or not, you saw the situation as an opportunity to take that intermission were talking about earlier and tape yourself together again."
There's a small pause before Aizawa suddenly stood, "The others still haven't started the movie, we shouldn't keep them waiting any longer." He swayed slightly, dizzy from standing too quickly while he was still sick.
...Looks like I might have hit the bullseye after all, I thought to myself as I stood to help guide him to the living room.
A/N: Sorry it's another short one, arms are still kinda jacked up but eh it is what is and what it is... is a work in progress fixing them lol
