Soulmate AU: Part 46 ⚠️

"Okay, that sounds good to me." you happily agreed in a unsteady voice. You didn't move your leg, unsure what he was trying to do. Aizawa didn't acknowledge it either as the both of you continued to slowly eat. The faint heat that pressed against your shin sent a shiver up your spine.

"When do you normally get your work schedule?" Aizawa asked casually, still not moving his leg away.

I bet he wouldn't find it nearly as amusing if the roles were reversed.

"Normally I would've gotten my schedule two days ago, but since I wasn't there to get it, I'll grab it tomorrow morning when I go in. I can text you once I get it." you said, setting your fork down. You shifted in your seat and crossed your legs. Your foot ghosted across the inside of his lower thigh. Aizawa's neutral look wavered and he swallowed hard.

"You'll need to give me your number then," Aizawa said as he gestured to your plate, "You done?"

"Oh yea, sorry," you got up and took both your empty plates, "why don't you go lay down in the living room while I clean up?"

You heard him get up from the table as you cleaned the plates and pot you had used. You froze when two strong hands gently gripped your hips.

Aizawa pulled you flush against him as he stood behind you. His lips brushed the tip of your ear as he leaned down and said in a low voice, "You're going to have to try harder than that if you're looking to get a rise out of me."

Your toes curled at challenge, "Is that right? I think I can come up with an idea or two then."

You felt his hands grip your hips a littler harder as he said, "Oh yea? I'm curious what those might be."

Embracing the surge of confidence that coursed through you, you slowly spun around. You looped your arms around his neck and smirked, "I guess you'll just have to find out for yourself."

Aizawa looked at you with a wolfish grin that made you bite your bottom lip. His eyes darkened at the sight and he looked on verge of devouring you whole.

Your heart raced wildly in your chest and you were certain he could feel it beating. You felt the wave of confidence that you rode up to that point quickly ebbing away. Before you could completely lose your nerve, you lifted yourself onto the tips of your toes and met him halfway.

The initial kiss was subdued and chaste as the both of you gauged the other's reaction. A low hum came from him as he smirked before kissing you again.

Your knees threatened to buckle beneath you as he kissed you without restraint. He leans in to the point that you have to take a step back to keep your balance. Your foot hit the kitchen counter and a wicked thought came to mind with the overwhelming need to make it happen.

You pulled away from him long enough to gasp out, "The counter..."

Aizawa lifted you up with ease before hungrily finding your lips again. He clutched your thighs as you urged him closer with hands ensnared in his dark locks.

The floorboards creaked and you both froze.

"Umm... they look a bit preoccupied at the moment," you heard Reina whisper from outside the kitchen, "I knew we should have texted them on the way back. We should go..."

You brought your hands down to rest over his on your thighs and dropped your head into the crook of his neck. You let out the breath you didn't realize you were holding with an airy laugh.

Aizawa didn't move until you heard the front door click shut. He brought one hand up to gently cradle the back of your neck. He drew small circles on your thigh with his other thumb as he planted a single kiss on the top of your head. He spoke quietly, his voice muffled slightly by your hair, "Do you think we should call it a night then?"

Summary: Bit of sarcastic flirting leads to kissing. Aizawa and the reader are interrupted by Reina and Mic coming back. The two leave leaving the reader and Aizawa alone again. Ends with Aizawa asking the reader if they should stop for the evening.
