Chapter 2

Registration

"So, where do I need to go exactly?" Jack asked Torium over the phone as he walked through the station. As he did, he saw all manners of different humanoid creatures walking around. This included other earthlings.

" Just go to the front desk and talk to a man named Cracker. He's a friend of ours. Tell him, we sent you."

" Thanks, Torium."

" No problem, we'll keep in touch. Good luck," Torium said then hung up.

Jack found the front counter, shortly afterward. Sitting there, was a giant green bird that looked to be a cross between a parrot and a falcon with blue eyes.

" Excuse me, are you Cracker?" Jack asked him.

" What can I do for you?"

" Torium and Labora told me to see you."

" Did they?" He asked looking up. " It's been a while since they got one of you poor dead bastards."

" Look, I just want to pick a job to do, can you help or not?" Jack asked, with a tone of irritation.

" Relax, will ya? I can help you pick something, what are your skills?"

Jack reiterated to Cracker what he told Torium and Labora.

" I'm sure we can find something, for someone who has no skills."

" Fuck you, too."

Cracker laughed." I'm just messing with you. Seriously though, I'm sure we can find something for you. Can I ask you something?"

" Go ahead."

" You Earthlings like stories with superpowers and things like that, right?"

" A lot of us do, why?"

" What if I told you, that there was a job where you could get some of those powers?"

Jack's eyes lit up at this. " Really?! I can get super strength, speed, heat vision?! What is it?! Tell me!"

" Calm down, will ya? Yes, you can get a power, if you join Unitatis's military."

" Military? Hell yeah! That means I'll get training right? Where do I sign up? Is it here?" Jack asked, pointing to a computer that was for public use.

" Yes, but, you might want to learn more about who we're fighting before you sign up."

" Finished! You say something?"

"..Never mind, You'll find out later. What planet do you want to go to?"

" Which one is the closest from me?"

" A jungle/forest planet known as Siltu."

" So it'll be like a safari? That sounds fun, I'll go there!"

" Good for you. Just call me, if you have any questions. Or need anything," Cracker said, registering his number into Jack's phone.

Jack was then told to locate a pod in the station that was designated for Siltu. He climbed into it and pressed the " launch button".

After that, he was launched out of the station and headed to Siltu. Along the way, he got a good look at the far off stars and planets.

New Arrivals

Unitatis's military bases were located all throughout its planet's. Siltu's main base, in particular, was made up of an array of tree-houses located on gigantic trees. They looked to be a hybrid of ones found in normal forests. And ones found in jungles. The base was located just on the outskirts of Siltu's city which was also made up of tree-houses. These soldiers were trained on the soil and sometimes in the water.
