The Frost Titan

" Crystal, explain what's going on!" Lapisa said.

" Yeah! What is this place?!" Planta asked.

" Where we are now, is just above the core of Ardennis. It's a place called the " Core Room"."

" And the thing that's breathing below us?" Lapisa asked.

" A being that we call the Frost Titan. Do you see those carvings? They don't even come close to how large it actually is."

" I know the answer to this question is probably obvious. But, is it dangerous?" Planta asked.

" That is an understatement. This beast has existed long before even Ardennis formed. Maybe even before Gelusic was made."

" Gelusic?"

" It was what this planet was a part of before. You see here, Ardennis is actually a sister planet to one called Ardennis. Both were originally apart of a much larger planet known as Gelusic."

" Does that mean they were broken off from it? What could have done that?"

" Me. As well as some friends of mine. I suppose I should tell you both the full story. But first, I think you two would be comfortable with more warmth in here," Crystal said. Then started tapping her staff on the ground.

A wave of magma came crashing towards them. Crystal told Lapisa and Planta to get behind her. Then she created a pillar of crystal to block the stream.

" Uh, thanks?" Planta said, backing away from the lava that now surrounded them.

" That should warm this place up for a bit before the magma cools."

" Crystal, why would you bother telling us all this in the first place?" Lapisa asked.

" I have lived for many years. And throughout my life, I have rarely gotten to share my people's culture. Save for the children here."

" Hasn't this planet had other visitors? Did you ever show them all this?" Planta asked.

" Some of them. To be honest, most of them were not worthy to learn of this. They'd just taint our history by passing it on."

" What happened to the ones who were worthy?"

" They either got killed or trapped here. Which is how the ships ended up here."

" What makes us worthy then?" Lapisa asked.

" To be honest, it's because I like you two."

" Oh..thanks, Crystal."

" Don't mention it. Now to start, Gelusic was a half burning, half freezing planet. It was home to several species. One being my species, The" Rock Golems". And the other called The "Ice Golems". Ice golems tend to be a bit more brutish due to the environment they live in. However, things were relatively peaceful, until she showed up."

" She being?" Planta asked.

" The snake lady. Her name was, Motum."

"M-Motum?!"

" You know her?"

" We've heard of her. She's part of a terrorist group of cultists that kills people and collects their life force. In fact, she is actually one of the leaders of said cult," Lapisa said.

" I never would have believed that, when I first met her. In fact, she was well-liked when we first met her. Not one person distrusted her. She told us she was looking for new members of her group to spread peace throughout the universe. Some of us would have done it too. If not for what happened."
