Chapter 17

Friends Meeting Teammates

" We're here at last," Milo told everyone. Their ship had finally reached Apparaternum.

" Vice Admiral Milo, what brings you here?" A worker at the loading station asked.

" We're here to get some possible help about the missing recruits. It's come to our attention that two people related to one of the missing recruits are here."

" Hm. What are their names?"

" Luxy Frigus and Terry Calidi."

" They were being taken to Apparaternum's police station a few days ago. They might be there now. If not, Captain Armiso might know where they are."

After that Milo called some cabs to take them to the police station. The other soldiers were ordered to gather supplies from Apparaternum's shops.

"Vice Admiral, we've been expecting you," An officer said, after opening their cab's door.

" Are the ones we are looking for, still here?"

" Yes, sir. The Captain called them to his office about ten minutes before you arrived."

" Very good. Let him know we wish to speak with him and the others."

" Come in," Armiso said when he heard Milo knocking at his office door.

Milo and the others entered. Armiso was sitting at his desk with Terry and Luxy seated in the chairs in front of him.

" Vice Admiral, it's been a while," Armiso said, standing up to greet Milo.

" Likewise," Milo said, shaking his hand.

" These are Terry and Luxy, I assume?"

" That's right. And who are the people who came with you?" Terry asked.

" These are three of Allen's team members," Milo said. Then introduced them.

" Is there any way you two can help us track down Allen and Jack?" Annie asked.

" Of course. You guys must be good friends of Allen right?" Luxy asked.

" Yeah.." Annie replied, hesitating ever so slightly.

" Is there something you want to tell us?"

" No. Everything's fine between Allen and me."

This prompted a snicker from red.

Annie stared daggers at him.

" You want to tell them or should I?" Red asked Libertatem.

" Go ahead," Libertatem asked.

" Tell us what?" Luxy asked.

" Annie and Allen got along about as well as Furessentia and Unitatis."

" I swear Red if you utter another word I'll-!"

" Got it, Annie. I sure won't mention you beating up Allen for trying to defend Jack."

" I'll fucking kill you! You wolf piece of shit!"

" You did what?!" Terry yelled.

" Okay, I may have gotten into a few scraps with them.."

Terry began walking towards Annie with his fists clenched. But Luxy got in his way.

" Don't do anything rash! These people may be able to help us find Allen!" She said.

" Fine. But this isn't over," Terry said, relaxing his hands.

" Alright, let's remember why we are here. We're not going to get anywhere by fighting," Milo said.
