Portal To Congelationis

" I don't think this is working. It's been glowing like this for the past ten minutes," Jack said.

" Yeah, we can take it with us, if it does anything else," Allen said.

" Wait. It's doing something," Horrendum said.

They saw that the tablet was starting to vibrate.

" Is this thing gonna blow up? Maybe we should step back?" Jack said.

Before they could move, a beam of light shot up from the tablet. In the tablet was the face of a furry white ape-like creature.

" Who are you three? And how did you acquire this tablet?"

" I'm Jack. He's Allen. And this is Horrendum. To answer your question, we kind of just found it. And who are you?"

" Nixy. And I'll have you know it belongs to a close friend of mine. And I want you to return it to her immediately."

" We'd love to. But, we're kind of stuck. Our ship got destroyed. Any way you can help us out? We have some supplies we can offer you if you do."

" Lucky for you guys, I can. Stand back. And give me a sec."

Jack and the others did so. Then Nixy grabbed her tablet and went outside. Then she placed her tablet on the snow and raised her hands over it. Then started humming. Soon a ripple appeared over Nixy's and the other tablet. The ripples got bigger until it was large enough for everyone to go through. Soon, they were standing in the snow, with the supplies besides them. And Jack was holding the tablet. Nixy held her hand out for it. Then Jack gave it to her.

" At least one of us has it back now. Come inside. We can talk there."

They all went into the cabin. Except for Acronu, who couldn't fit through the door.

" Little help?" Allen asked Nixy.

" I'll have a shelter built for him."

After Nixy ordered some other Yetis to get started on building it, she made her new guests some hot tea.

" Been a while since I had this stuff. Course, it's usually iced for me. This is great too though. Thanks, Nixy."

" No problem, Allen. But, if I may ask, what were you four doing on my old home planet?"

" Your old home planet? But it was abandoned, and everyone we found there was.." Jack said. But was hesitant to finish.

" Dead. I know."

" What happened?"

" Long story short, there was a massive war. I'll spare you all the details. But, the end result of it, was my species and one other moving to two different planets."

" Sorry to hear ya had to go through that. We're actually lookin for some friends of mine, to answer your question by the way," Allen said.

" You two have been looking for a long time then."

" Been about a month, I'd say."

" How was your ship destroyed?"

" We had a run-in with some assholes who shot it with their ship. They're also responsible for my friends goin missin."

" And killing me. As well as stealing my ship! If I see that frog son of a bitch again, I'll fry him good!" Horrendum said, electricity coursing around him. Metal objects in the room began gravitating towards him."

" Uh, Horrendum? Might wanna relax," Allen told him.

" Huh? Oh, sorry, everyone. Guess I still have some of my old strength left after all," Horrendum said, calming down. The metal objects fell to the floor. He started to get up, so he could pick up the objects. But Nixy said not to worry about it.
