Tirelessly
Uvam was pacing throughout the ship. He was constantly checking his phone for updates on Uvam's capture. Harriet and Venatora grew concerned from seeing him like this.
" Sir?" Harriet asked.
" Yes? What is it?" He replied. They saw that his eyes had become sunken in.
" Don't you think that you should get some rest?"
" Rest? Nonsense! I can't rest until we've collected Citreal's energy!"
" I think you should listen to her. When was the last time you slept?" Venatora asked.
" It's been a few days.." He replied, rubbing the back of his head.
" You haven't slept since talking with lord Timore, have you?"
" How can I?! Our survival is dependent on us being able to kill him! As a matter of fact, how can any of you sleep? Sleep is time wasted to complete our mission!"
" We understand your urgency. But you're going to work yourself to death if you don't get rest soon," Harriet said.
" But I'm too wound up! We've been searching for days and have "made no progress! Our deadline will be up before we know it!"
" We're aware of that. But if what we're doing isn't working, we should change our approach. Don't you think?" Venatora asked.
" You make a good point. We've been searching across different parts of the galaxy. But, the fact we can't search near most planets, without someone spotting us, is very limiting. We may need to send some people to different planets. If only we had spies on more planets. How are we supposed to find him with only Harenae, Caerula, and Insectum at our command? All the other commanders have at least ten planets that they have spies on."
" Agreed. We just couldn't get spies on them fast enough. Is there anything we can do to change that?" Harriet asked.
" I suppose we can try sending some people out. But, it'd have to be planets that are not a part of Unitatis. Or Planets with so little security, getting to them will not be much of an issue. Bearing that in mind, I have some tasks for the two of you. Venatora, I want you to seek out new planets for us to put spies on. Harriet, I want you to go with me to planets we already do have spies on. Any objections?"
" Sort of," Venatora said.
" And that would be?"
" Sir, we've never done a mission separately from each other."
" Hm, now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever seen both of you separated from each other. Fine, you can go with her. I'll go to these planets with our other lackeys. First, I need to contact our spies though. Where is the ship headed currently?"
" I think we are approaching the Wasp Belt," Harriet replied.
" How soon until we enter it?"
" Ten hours, from the looks of it."
" Then I'll take the advice you both have given me and rest up. Wake me when we get there. Oh but before that, I'll contact our spies. I think I'll start with Novacula."
Uvam then started heading back to the Captain's room. On the way there, he began trying to give him a call.
The Sharper Point
" Make sure Acronu's chains are secure!" Allen told Jack. Their ship had been flying through The Wasp Belt for two hours now. Everything was going well for the first hour. But the wasps started attacking their ship during the second. Allen wasted no time, switching the ship to autopilot. Then he, Jack, and Acronu went up to the ship's top. Jack was worrying about Acronu because he wasn't able to breathe in space.
