Harper's POV:

Destroying Ricci's businesses were just the tip of the iceberg. I was still seeing red and I still wanted him to pay dearly. Pacing in my office, I raked my hands through my hair. He took people that were important to me. People who meant the world to me. I wasn't going to just tap him on the wrist. No. I was going to cut off his fucking hand.

Jabbing my finger down on my intercom, I connected with Sylvy. "Send Padrik and Eoin in."

"Yes, ma'am." Sylvy disconnected right before my men walked through my door.

I leaned against my desk, evaluating them until they twitched with concern.

"What's our orders, boss?" Padrik was the first one to break the silence. I assumed Eoin was too nervous about me killing him for saying the wrong thing to make the first peep.

Snatching a file from my desk, I flipped through the pages. I wasn't ignoring the question, but I did want my answer to be direct. Besides, I was in charge. I could take my time if I wanted to.

Looking up, my eyes narrowed as my next move slipped through my lips. "Ricci has two women in his life each with a child. One he loves and the other one is a front. Kill them all and burn their homes to ash."

I had no room for mercy. They took away people precious to me; it was only fair that he felt the same recourse for his actions.

"But they're just women and children, boss." Padrik didn't normally question me, but I could sense the uneasiness in his voice. "They're innocent in all of this."

Taking a step closer, I stared him down. "I'm not going to repeat myself. Those women and children will leave a legacy if left alive. Ricci should have found and killed me as a child. Better yet, he should have killed me when I was still in my mother's fucking womb. If that had happened, today wouldn't be upon us. Now I've rose to power and I'm a thorn in his motherfucking side. I will not do that to my people."

Setting the folder down, I stepped closer to my men. "I will not wait for the repercussions by sparing those who seem weak and innocent now. They will grow up, they will not forget who killed their family, and they will destroy us in the future. Bring them to me and I will kill them myself. Do I make myself clear?"

It was brutal. I sounded bloodthirsty, but that was the world we were in. We didn't have room for luxuries. We weren't normal people. We were monsters here to maim and kill. I wasn't about to disappoint.

Padrik processed my words, hesitating before responding. "I will do as you ask because you're my queen, but I want you to think long and hard about this. Not because I care about what happens to that motherfucker's family, but because I want you to think about how Ricci will react to this. If you think that you're doing this to make a point, then you have to remember that he will do something to make a bigger point. Are you prepared for that, boss?"

I refused to blink, my voice cold and filled with opportunity. "I count on it."
