"my eyes can't afford to be back

to days where knives live on my back

but it's all on record

playing all over

no stop, no pause

no next

stuck in a loop"

We chose to sit outside the establishment, in the shadows of tall buildings and bright lights of Manila. It's in the fourth floor of the mall, and drinking outside is way better than inside. I feel like inside, we are caged lions trying to look civilized. While outside, we take our rightful place as the kings of a night that we will barely remember.

Our stories and topics are as crazy as each one of us. We can dive in deep to emotional realms and cry, talk about how much we hate the society that we're living in, equality, equity, alien possibilities, conspiracy theories, movies, and worst of all, Mathematics.

Don't get me wrong, I love Math. I really do, but I can't keep up when they go full complex analysis and abstract on me. I stopped studying or paying attention when I got myself to fourth year college. And it's God's miracle that I graduated on time. Thankfully, I'm the master of seg ways.

"Hey, you guys remember those properties and terms we used towards our crushes back then?"

"Oh, Of course." June replied, with his "of course" catchphrase.

"Well, the OTB for one. Looks like you, Clark, and June found their OTBs." Aeron's response, pertaining to myself and the others.

"OTB? June? That counts as a fallacy to me." Said Migs.

"Every woman counts as OTB in June's eyes." Clark added.

"We don't do that here. And come on, five years strong. I'm a changed man." June's response.

We laughed at it and started talking more about random things. It was a pretty amazing time. Never felt this happy for weeks. Until..

"Speaking of OTB, I have to answer this call."

June headed to the balcony with a look of concern in his face. I'm wondering if they are alright or not. But for some reason, June is looking at me while taking to his girl.

June came back, with no marks of happiness on his face.

"Are you alright bro?"

"Bad news man."

"What is it?"

"Jasmine."
