"ashes to ashes
there it goes
dust to dust
all it shows
memento after memento
where the fire current flows"

I ordered the usual ice blended drink, dark chocolate frappe if I'm not mistaken. I always just look at the menu for a good one minute and order the usual. I really want to taste a new flavour every now and then, but it's just hard when you got used to something and when you try a new one, it's not as good as the first.
I barely have anything with me, but I have a book napping within my sling bag. I really feel weird going to coffee shops and just scrolling all over my phone. For that reason, I always bring a book or a notebook where I could write.
The book that I have right now is "The Great Gatsby". I bought it just a week ago and I think I can finish it today. It's still scorching outside, that's why I decided to stay for a good two hours.
I really feel uneasy in places like coffee shops back then, I still feel a little now. I just don't know how long can I stay in the place, that's why finding this cafe really is one of the best things that ever happened to me this year. A lot of customers come to this place but not as busy as the others. A few people will come by every thirty minutes, and eventually they'll leave after an hour. I can solve the number of people that comes to this place every day if and only if I can still dig deep in my Mathematics wizardry.
I finished reading the book in less than two hours, and it's really a timeless read. The story is amazing even though the words are pretty deep and poetic. I really loved the parting line of the book. Stating, "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
Maybe that's what I shouldn't do. Maybe I've been rowing my boat unconsciously back to the past that reminded me of who I once was, and every bit that I once have. And this boat got me stuck in an island that I can't get out off.
It was really an eye-opening book, maybe it's time that I swim off the shore, and go to a place that I haven't reached, tomorrow.
I got home by three in the afternoon and there I see my brother still asleep.
"Hey bitch wake up! You have work by four aight?"
"In a minute"
And that minute is another ten minutes for my brother.
"Gin, how's everything going?"
"Well, it's pretty crowded at the moment. We have approximately five requests every hour since you've been out."
"Hey Gin, tell my brother to work better, so I could draw immediately."
"The hell, have you even showered?"
"Yeah? Five minutes is good to go my young sibling."
"Okay Gin, prepare the requests and arrange them from the earliest to the latest. I'll start now."
"Hey, I got to go now. RESPECT."
"Okay, I might go to your spot tomorrow."
"You've been saying that for a year now, but anyway bye."
"Take care cunt."
The first request is pretty simple. He's just asking for a flower in a pot and a poem about how amazing his life has been ever since he met the girl. Well, I've been there. And by the end of the request, he wants it to be the card accompanying the flowers that he'll buy, to ask the girl about taking it to the next level. It's a sweet one, after reading that book I somehow got into a much better zone. But there was a note before the requests ended, "make sure that the flower looks like a Jasmine, thanks!"
