"a comet might pass by

giving light to the crust

but it's still not the same

when I have you in my

arms instead of just

having your name"

I was a bit sceptical at first, but I decided to hold her hand. I know for a fact that this is the last time that I'll ever hold this piece of mine, and I want to make sure that I'll be able to tell her what I feel.

We've struggled during the last couple of months that we had together, we struggled before, during, and even worse after our breakup. We faced issues that were fabricated that almost turned us to complete strangers. Even though we managed to move pass it, maybe it still did. I just can't see it now.

We got lost in Manila as we try to look for some place to eat. It was amazing in its own right. She's even more energetic than before, while she laughs at how slow I've been walking for the last couple of minutes, maybe even an hour. The excessive chain smoking is taking a toll on my body right now.

I never reached this part of Manila before, even though it's just a few blocks away from the university. We made our way and stopped by a fountain dancing in colors, surrounded by trees dripping in colors of life that made me forgot how monochrome my life was.

She remained still, as she watched the lights changed from one color to another. I smiled as I remember those times where we travel to places were the lights shine the brightest. She really loved looking at the beauty of the lights, while I loved looking at her during those times.

After a few minutes, we decided to find our way out of the place before we find a place to eat. We then realized that we took the wrong turn earlier and got ourselves lost at the other side of Manila. We had our dinner shortly after and walked our way back near the bay, where the UVs pass by that will take us home.

It was a short journey due to the light traffic and we got by her drop quickly.

Before she took another ride towards their house, I told her to look at the moon tonight. It was full, and brimming with yellow dust. I whispered to myself, "I can see the moon completely for the first time after a long while."

She heard that I whispered something, and asked me to clear what I just said. I told her it's nothing and waved her goodbye. Before we part, I kissed her forehead and thanked her for everything. She smiled as I smile back. I watched as she took her ride home. We knew that it was the last time, and we made the most out of it as promised.

Before I took my ride home, I looked at the moon one last time.

The moon looks amazing tonight.

I hope tomorrow too.
