"Are you sure you have to go?" I whine at Josie as she begins to dress in my cramped trailer. I watch her shake her head at my complaining with that little chuckle she does.

The past few months, Josie and I had been fooling around, summer fling style. I felt pretty guilty at first, even though Nova had been long gone, I still feel like I'm doing her dirty, but then I remind myself that she did me dirty too.

I liked the whole 'no strings attached' thing at first, but as time goes on, I miss the stability and comfort of a relationship. I'm also beginning to like Josie, and the fact that she helps me forget everything that happened.

"I do, unfortunately." Josie hums, picking up her shirt that'd been carelessly tossed to the floor earlier in the day. "But, why don't you pick me up in the morning and we'll go to Archie's trial together."

"Why would I wanna go to that?" I ask.

"To support Archie!" Josie says.

"I don't care about Andrews." I lie. As much as I dislike him, I do care, and I know for a fact he didn't kill anyone. Him and Fred don't deserve this, it makes me wonder if Nova even knows, wherever she is.

"I know you at least care about Mr Andrews, if you don't wanna go for Archie, go for him." Josie says.

I think on her words. Even though Nova dumped me, Fred still texts me every now and then to see how I am, he's a good man who has been through far too much. I guess I do care about him, at least.

"Okay, yeah. I'll pick you up in the morning." I tell her, she smile triumphantly, giving me a kiss goodbye, before leaving without another word.

After Josie's gone, I decide to get myself ready for a run. I started running a lot after Nova left, I didn't realise how big of a part of my life she was until she was gone, I would've been happy to just drink and fight away my troubles, but Fangs wouldn't allow it and made me find 'positive outlets' or some crap like that, so I started running.

She broke my heart, and then left. It feels wrong, it feels like there's some cruel gag I'm not in on. It makes me sad, and angry, really angry. I miss her, but I don't even know how to begin trying to forgive her, especially since she's gone and she didn't even say goodbye.

As much as I call bullshit on Fangs' 'positive outlet' bullshit, I do enjoy running, makes me realise why Nova did cross country.

I set out on my run, running from my cramped little campground trailer, past Pops, and towards the Northside, I pass by house after house, just thinking of the memories these streets hold. Okay, maybe Josie helps me forget, but I can't help but remember sometimes.

When I get back to my trailer, I see Toni and Fangs walking towards my front door.

"Hey guys, what's up?" I ask.

"Hey, Pea. We gotta talk to you about something..." Toni says.

"That sounds sinister. Come in." I say, inviting my friends into my cramped space. "What's up?"

"It's about Nova." Toni informs me, I tense up at her name.

"What about her?" I ask through gritted teeth.

"Nova's back, Sweet pea." Fangs informs me, my body stiffens.

"She's what?" I ask.

"We've both seen her. She seems pretty messed up in the head." Toni says.

"What?" I ask, still shocked at my ex-girlfriends return.

"She tried to fight Toni, and really blew her lid at me. She doesn't seem like she's doing well." Fangs says.

"Nova's.... Back in Riverdale?" I ask.

"Yeah." Toni says. "You okay?"

"I..." I trail off. "She's... Back?"
