I wake in a cold, dimly lit room, it almost like a sparse, creepy living room. My vision is cloudy, and I feel genuinely disgusting. In my haze, I try to move only to realise that I'm tied to a chair, I try to wriggle, but either the ropes are tight and there's nothing I can do, or my body is just so weak from whatever I've been injected with.
I look around, inspecting the creepy room. There is next to nothing to this room. A chair sits across from me, and a cluttered table sits near the door, along with a large chest right in the corner. The lightbulb giving off some light flickers and barely works, making my eyes hurt a little. My heart races to the realisation that I have been kidnapped and my boyfriend has been hurt, I hope someone finds him and helps him.
I weigh up my options, I could scream? I could try to use my weak body and free myself, but I don't even get a chance to finish trying to scheme when the wooden door at the front of the room opens, letting a creaking sound into the room.
"Ah, you're finally awake." The same voice from earlier says, as a tall, large figure enters the room.
"Let me go, you asshole!" I snap as this man comes closer, out of the shadows of this dimly lit room.
This creepy man with slicked back greying brown hair, and a scar across his face looks at me with a taunting grin.
"We just got here, why would I do that?" He asks.
"Where the fuck am I?" I yell.
"We're in my safe place, our safe place." He chuckles. "I've waited a long time for you, Nova."
"How do you know my name? Who are you?" I ask.
"You don't know me, dear, but I've known your family a very, very long time." He says. "Particularly your beautiful mother."
"Who. Are. You?" I growl.
"My name, Sweet girl, is Jay." He introduces himself. "I've been watching you from afar for many years."
"Jay... Wait... You're-"
"Your mother was my everything. It broke my heart when she left me. I swore I'd have revenge after Ottis Daniels took her from me." He tells me.
"So you waited 17 years to kidnap their daughter?" I ask.
"No, no. It's not nearly that simple, dear. I had plans to kill Ottis Daniels to get back my dear Juliet... But then, that stupid Jones and his goons threatened me, once I found out that snake had knocked up your mother... I found a new plan. But it was going to take time." He says.
"You're sick." I snap.
"No, dear girl. I'm a genius." He tells me, touching my face. I spit at him.
"Fuck you." I snap.
"Don't you want to hear the rest of my story? I promise you that it'll be a fun one." He says with a sinister chuckle.
"Let me go." I yell.
"It's rude to interrupt, Nova. I don't want to have to punish you, trust me dear, you do NOT want to misbehave." Jay tells me. "Now are you ready to listen?"
"Fine, just tell me." I huff defeatedly.
"I knew I couldn't have your mother anymore, so I knew they both had to go. I couldn't hurt an innocent child, so I had to wait. I watched your family as the years went by. I watched you grow, waiting until the day came-"
"What day?" I ask.
"The day where I could begin preparing to take you for myself." He says softly.
