On top of everything else, Gladys Jones shows up back in town, and Moose Mason now more traumatized than ever after his father used the gargoyle king to scare him out of wanting to be with Kevin due to his jealousy towards his son's freedom surrounding his sexuality, and him being with the son of the man he loved, things never seem to stop being crazy around here.

"So, what? Mr Mason just... Terrorised his own son because he was jealous?" I ask Jughead as the two of us sit with Betty in my room the next afternoon.

I'd texted them both, hoping Betty would arrive first to get some girl time, but alas, she and Jughead arrived together. Jughead's my best friend in the world, and I feel like as of late I'm seeing him less and less. As well as Betty, who, despite being my neighbour, I haven't seen much of either of them.

"Yeah, well... The Sisters of quiet mercy really did a number on Moose's dad." Jughead sighs.

"No kidding." I comment. "So let me get this straight, your mom's back in town, Moose's dad is a jealous closet case-"

"Don't forget my mom's getting 'baptised into the farm'." Betty reminds me

"Jesus christ, everything's fucked up." I groan.

"You're not wrong." Betty sighs. "I'm gonna go downstairs and get a water."

"Ooh, can you pleeeeease grab me a soda?" I ask with a cheesy grin.

"Fine." She chuckles. "Jug?"

"I'm good, Betts. Thanks." He says with a smile, and Betty heads out the door. "How's it going with the twins?"

"They're back in town on Thursday. We'll see." I hum.

"I can't believe your have twin brothers." He chuckles.

"Imagine if we'd known that growing up." I say.

"If your dad was here what do you think would've happened?" Jug asks.

"You know what dad was like, he'd be confused but he would've done anything for them." I say.

"Yeah. Your mom and dad were one of the good ones." Jug sighs.

"Ugh, why is everything so fucked!" I groan, flopping backwards onto the bed.

"You're telling me." Jughead sighs. "Wait... Nov, what's that?"

He brushes my hair away from my neck.

"Are those hickies?" Jughead asks. I sit up quickly, getting up and going to look at myself in the mirror and sure enough, a few hickies on the side of my neck and one on my collarbone.

Dammit, Sweet pea.

I knew he'd given me a couple on my chest, those ones I'd seen, but I guess the ones on my neck hadn't originally been so bad. I got home last night after everything happened and just showered and went to sleep. I hadn't even really had time to process what happened with Sweet pea, I was sort of hoping to talk to Betty about it.

"It looks like a rash to me." I lie, going to sit back down. "Maybe I'm dying."

"Don't you lie to me, Daniels!" Jughead says, hitting me with a pillow.
