"What do you mean I can't see him?! He's my brother!" I yell.

I stand a reception with Fred at the detention centre about a week later, the nice desk lady is no where to be seen, and an angry looking man sits in her place, having just told me I'm not allowed to see Archie.

"Sir, there must be some mistake-"

"No, Mr Andrews there is not, her name is here along with Veronica Lodge." The desk man says.

"That's impossible, this is my daughter? There's been no harm done!" Fred argues.

"Sorry Mr Andrews, Nova Daniels may not enter." He says.

I grab Fred's arm and pull him aside.

"You know what's going on here, right?" I ask

"What?" Fred asks.

"Hiram! He put me and Veronica on that list so that we couldn't get to Archie!" I hiss.

"You think?" Fred asks.

"I don't think, Fred. I know." I say.

"What should we do?" Fred asks, I sigh.

"You go see Archie. Tell him I love him. I'll wait in the truck." I say.

"You're sure?" Fred asks.

"I'm sure, Fred. Hiram won't keep V and I from Archie forever." I sigh. "I'll make sure of it."

3 weeks go by, Archie's 'visitation' has been suspended because of a riot Fred's told Archie started, when Veronica, who witnessed it, told us that it'd been the guards and Archie's getting the blame. I can see it's hurting Fred. It's not fair.

Everything feels so stressful, I'm still on rocky terms with the serpents, Jughead and Betty are haunted by the fact they witnessed the suicide of Ben Button, Veronica's trying to help Archie and keep her business afloat, and me? Well I'm just trying to live with the fact that my life is in shambles.

"Fred?" I ask, walking into the kitchen, he looks sad.

"Hey, Nov." He says, his voice tired.

"You okay?" I ask, sitting at the breakfast bar.

"Yeah, no I am. I just got back from the detention centre, they still won't let me see Archie." Fred says.

"I'm sorry, Fred. We'll get this sorted out." I sigh.

"I know we will, Nov." He sighs.

"Hiram's gonna pay. I'll make sure of-"

"You'll let me handle it, Nova." Fred says.

"I'm sorry, Fred. You're not dealing with this alo-" I'm cut off by a text from Betty, asking me to meet her and V at Pops. "Oh, that's Betty, I gotta go."

"Will you be home for dinner?" Fred asks.

"I hope to be, yes." I say, kissing Fred's cheek. "See ya."

"Bye, love you." He says.

"Love you more, bye!"

"I'm in trouble here, guys." Veronica sighs as Betty and I sit across from her in Pops. She sits with her glasses on, mulling over her bills. "I'm up to my eyebrows in bills, Pops is haemorrhaging money!"

"Well, how far along is the speakeasy?" I ask her.

"Yeah! Is it close at least?" Betty adds.

Veronica gives us a guilty look before dropping her pen and taking off her reading glasses
